‘Tis the season to go on holiday… fa la la la la, la la la laaa!
Have you got a summer holiday planned? Staying in the UK or going abroad, you want to get excited about your holiday and make sure that you have the best time ever. A recent YouGov survey found that only 31% of people get excited when packing for holiday. I don’t think I am one of those people as I am one of those people that loves going on holiday and starts packing as early as possible!
Furthermore, though, the survey found that 1 in 3 women worry about their weight every day that they’re on holiday. That is such bad times! A holiday should be enjoyed and not endured. Europa Pharmacy ant us to change how we view going on holiday. We don’t want to worry about what you look like on holiday or be stressed our from packing. Just relax and enjoy it!
We like to travel as much as we can, so here are my tips for making sure you enjoy it all and not endure it all.
I am a list maker in all walks of life, but particularly when it comes to packing. I have found with children there is more to remember to take, so I write it all down. It makes the process much easier and for me it eliminates the stress. There is less chance of forgetting something which can be a nightmare. So write down everything from underwear to what you need in your hand luggage. It is satisfying crossing things off on your list. For me at least! 😉
This is another thing that I love to do. I like to pack things as early as possible. So once I have made my list, I pack the things that we won’t need until the holiday. So things like swim nappies, beach towels and swimwear. For a beach style holiday you can usually pack quite a lot of your things anyway. It’s not like I’ll be needing my sundresses in this miserable weather we’ve been having!
Get Yourself Beach Ready
If you think you will have concerns about how you look when on holiday, try a few things to make yourself feel more confident. I wear contact lenses the majority of the time and it can be awkward when you want to swim but still be able to see. So I got myself some prescription sunglasses. I have pretty much invisible eyelashes when I don’t wear mascara, so it is something that makes me a little self conscious. I am one of those people that enjoys swimming in the sea and snorkelling, not just laying on a beach. So I usually get eyelash extensions for holidays, so that I don’t have to worry about mascara running down my face.
These are just little things but for me, they take the stress out of how I feel and then it isn’t something I need to worry about. Perhaps things like fake tanning before you go, getting a new bikini or swimsuit or perfecting beach waves in your hair, could help you feel happier too (if you are one of those 1 in 3 that worries each day that you are away).
