I don’t know about you but it seems like the majority of people haven’t had the best Winter. This year seems to just not be all that great so far, but never fear for Spring is here! A time filled with new beginnings and fresh starts, here are some ways you can make the most of the season and accelerate your mood into the happy and bright gear.
Fresh Flowers
It’s officially tulip season and that in itself makes me very happy. I love tulips and daffodils and seeing them around and in the garden reminds me that the warmer months are on the way. I think bringing some fresh flowers into the home is a great moos lifter no matter the season but spring flowers are definitely my favourite.
Update Your Wardrobe
I love rotating my wardrobe to reflect the season and as much as I love black and dark wintery colours I always start to crave a bit of colour at this time of year. So update your clothes and add in a few new pieces to really freshen it up, it’s so good to feel excited about getting dressed each day and just having a simple revamp can do wonders for your mood. This would also be the perfect time to declutter and get rid of those things you don’t wear anymore.
Get Out More
The days are getting longer and brighter so it’s the perfect time to get outside and go for a stroll. Being out in the countryside always makes me feel good, go and explore a nature trail or your local park. There’s just nothing quite like spending a sunny afternoon relaxing in nature. The vitamin D in sunlight can even help to increase serotonin levels so make sure you get your daily dose of 10-15 minutes without sunscreen whilst you can. Just remember to apply sunscreen if you’re out for longer periods of time!
Lovely post! I fully endorse getting out more and making the most of the occasional good days – but also just to get fresh air. It makes a world of difference.

I think all 3 of these suggestions are great. I find flowers, especially tulips, to be a great way of brightening up your home (as well as your mood) during the Spring months. xxx

I love being able to get back outside again. The short nights in the winter being stuck inside are awful. The kids love being outside too.

Yep, agree with all three of these. Even seeing the picture of those flowers made me smile. And getting outside into the fresh air always helps lift my mood. I find yoga is another good one for me too x

Some great tips. I love buying fresh flowers and lately I’ve got into the habit of buying a bunch every week. Spring flowers like daffodils and tulips are so cheap xx
