4 Ways to Still Let Your Kids Be Kids During a Pandemic

The global pandemic is in different positions in different parts of the world.

In some countries, the virus is more under control. However, it still has many families on lockdown in other areas of the world, only going out for essentials.

This leaves our little ones in such a confused state. They’re keenly aware that their routines have been altered, but most young kids don’t understand why. The best thing we can do, as parents, is to try our best to keep them active and mentally stimulated

Here are four simple ways to do that and keep a smile on their cute little faces.

1. Arts & Crafts

Many children take classes at home now because it’s not safe to return to school, so this means all day in the house. If you fall into this category, it’s especially important to foster an environment where they can express themselves creatively.

All you need to do look up weekly art projects (Pinterest is great for this) and get the necessary supplies for the week. Some great art projects to start with are rock painting, paper mache art, and finger painting.

2. Outside Time

Many of us parents understand how different the world is now.

Where we could play outside for hours, our kids don’t have the same luxury because the world is such a different place at the moment.

This means you’ve got to get out there and play with them, and sometimes the simplest things bring the most joy.

What do we mean by simple? You can have a water gun fight, scavenger hunt, or a game of hide and seek. The most important thing is they stay active and get some sun rays because they’re vital to health and happiness.

3. Science Projects

Do you remember the first time you witnessed a mind-blowing science experiment?

Now, you can do this with your children, but don’t worry, you don’t need to be a scientist to pull it off.

Thankfully, we have the world at our fingertips to look up different experiments that fit our knowledge and budgets.

There’s always the hurricane in the bottle experiment, or baking soda volcanoes to ease yourself into it.

4. Put on a Show

Are your kids always with the dramatics? Well, now you can help them put their drama skills to work by putting on in-house production of your very own play.

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You can all dress up and act out scenes to their favorite movies—because you know they know EVERY word.

Making the Most of Difficult Times

Let’s all take a moment to breathe

This is hard on all of us, but it won’t last forever.

Overall, make sure you’re setting some time aside for yourself because you can’t give anything if you’re on empty. We all have our go-to relaxation methods when the kiddos hit the sheets, but what if you had something to set the day off with ease?

CBD hemp capsules are a nice alternative with this sentiment in mind because they last for the more significant part of the day. In fact, many parents are adding CBD to their daily routine because they feel it makes them more present while parenting.

At the end of the day, the main goal is to make sure our children are progressing in a time they could so easily fall behind.

These are only a few ideas, but once you start, you’ll have many more!
