We are big fans of Vertbaudet in our house and so were more than happy to look at the AW15 range for the children. I have found their clothes to be really well made, durable and just general good quality. I like the prices and the variety in styles too. I think they are really classy clothes for children, not tacky in anyway.
Autumn and Winter is, let’s face, rather cold. I love a jumper dress with tights and boots for little girls so Chloe needed a bit of an update this winter. Chloe is wearing this Baby Girls Dress that costs £9.75 – bargain! I love the lighter colours of it but that it has a pattern with some colours too in the top section. It is made from a mix of cotton, polyamide and wool so will keep her warm. It is really soft and washes well. It is available from 1-3 months right up to 2-3 years.
Chloe recently got a new winter coat but Max was in desperate need so this couldn’t have come at a better time. This Fur Lined Parka is so soft, fleecy and warm – rated 4 snowflakes meaning it is suitable for intense cold weather. The hood is detachable, as is the faux-fur, but Max says he quite likes it all (as do I – I love parkas).
The coat has:
- Padded sleeves
- Zip fastening under press-stud placket.
- Multiple pockets, one with embroidery
- Appliqué badges on the sleeve
- Cuffs with buttoned tab and inside ribbing to keep out cold air
- Drawstring at the waist and stopper inside.
- Longer panel at the back.
It is snuggly warm but I did think about how waterproof it might be as it isn’t a ‘shiny’ fabric if you get what I mean. But it is a shower-proof fabric which acts a barrier – the raindrops simply slide off! There are buckles at the cuffs for attaching gloves which is so useful – these always seem to get lost don’t they? The coat costs £29.25 which I think is really reasonable – it will last for a long time.
