I honestly can’t believe how quickly the summer holidays have gone… wasn’t it July last week?! Being on maternity leave this summer has been such a blessing, meaning that we have had the flexibility to go out and do different things, without the worry of work or childcare. But I think that might be one of the reasons why it seems to have zoomed on by!
Have you got anything left to get for back to school shopping? We have one week to go and looks like we are just in need of the smaller things like socks and tights. Ordered the main things that we needed earlier in in the holidays.
One thing that is so important for the children to take to school with them is a reusable water bottle. Staying hydrated is a no-brainer, and is clear that it makes a difference to how well they learn (not to mention the obvious health benefits). My children don’t like using a plastic water bottle or one that lets the water get warm, which is where insulated bottles come in. They are the kind of bottles that keep cold water cool for up to 24 hours, as well as keeping hot water hot for up to 12 hours; winner!
SHO Water Bottles
SHO have an amazing range of insulated water bottles for all of the family, as we as food pots and coffee cups. I really like the range of colours and styles that you can choose from, as well as sizes of bottles too. I had no idea they had a range specifically for children, though, which is what we have been sent to try out.
The bottle itself is strong and sturdy, made of good quality materials. The water bottle for kids is smaller, at 250ml, but that makes it a good size for little ones, especially those starting school for the first time this September. We have found no problems with leaking from the bottle, and definitely found the water to stay cool for a while. Just what we’ve needed in this heat.
There are a range of colours, prints, and patterns to choose from, but at the moment, they also have a range of limited edition artist designed patterns like this green crocodile print; it is perfect for little ones in your life! This print is called ‘Deep in the Jungle.’
As standard you get the screw top lid, but for the kids bottles, you can also choose a straw lid. I think this is a fab addition for little ones. Not everyone can unscrew a tight cap or equally, screw it up tight enough afterwards. Just to note, though, you will still get an original lid with the bottle when you order one with a straw lid, so you’ve got the option. The bottle lids arr spill-proof, and I haven’t had any problems with leaking, but the straw lid is said to be not 100% leak proof, just FYI.
I think these bottles are fab, as cool water is much nicer to drink, especially if you’ve got a child that is reluctant to only drink water. The price is great too, as they are currently on sale for £12.99. I know other brands where these bottles cost much more, so it’s very competitive and reasonable. You can also get free UK delivery, no matter what you spend.
Are you all ready for back to school? It would be great to hear what you think.
