So here we are, now finished four weeks of using the new XLS-Nutrition healthy weight loss shakes. I have still been enjoying the shakes, as the taste is fine and they do really help to keep me feeling full. They are high in protein so it does make a difference, especially compared to other weight loss shakes that I have used before.
The shakes can be a little repetitive, so I have been mixing up the recipes that I use, like blending in some fresh berries to the strawberry one, for example. I have been mixing up the snacks I eat too, with sugar snap peas being one of them, love the crunch, and popcorn for the finer (just a healthy popcorn, not one with covered in toffee or butter).
But how has the weight loss been this week?
Weight Loss
I am aiming for around two pounds each week, as slow and steady wins the race, right? I have been down 8lbs in the first three weeks so far. And this week, it was just under a pound loss, 3/4 of a pound to be precise. After four weeks, it means nearly 9lbs down, which I think is pretty sustainable loss. Plus, as you’ll read on or see in my latest video diary, I was aboard for over half of the week. So when I’m not in my usual routine it didn’t surprise me. A loss is still a loss, though, right?
Highlights of the Week
This week was a bit of a tricky one, as I was away in Portugal for four days of the week, at my brother-in-law’s wedding. So while it didn’t go as well as planned, I was proud of myself for taking the shakes with me, and making sensible choices when we were out there. It did tend to be more of just one shake for breakfast, as most days we were out and about. So I guess that is reflected in the weight loss. So for me, I’m just glad I didn’t pile all of the lost weight all back on.
Challenges This Week?
As stated above, I was away for most of the week. So I didn’t have a proper routine with the shakes as I would at home. While I was sensible with my food choices when I was away, I didn’t get in as much exercise as I might have liked. I did a small amount of swimming in the pool, and of course, plenty of walking. But I didn’t get in my yoga or running or anything. So onwards and upwards this week as I need to step up my exercise game this week.
I also find it harder to drink as much water when I am away, as you have to rely on having bottled water in or heading to the shops. So I’ll be glad to get into more of a routine again this week.

Have you ever heard of XLS-Nutrition before? It would be great to hear what you think.
*I have been gifted the shakes and offered full-support along the way, however, all words and opinions are my own.
A loss is still a loss for sure. I think 9lb in 4 weeks isn’t bad at all and especially as you’ve been abroad. Well done. Mich x
