#BoostBuddies | Week 8 of Using XLS-Nutrition Shakes

If you ever want to mark how fast two months flies by, then you need to start writing out weekly blog posts – I can’t believe that this is the 8th week of using the XLS-Nutrition Shakes, my final week of the challenge. I do have some of the shake powder leftover, so I do intend to carry on until it is all gone. But I thought I would give you an update on how the last week has gone, and how the whole two months as a whole has gone.

Weight Loss

The weight loss this week as one pound, meaning that my total weight loss over the eight weeks of using the shakes, is 12 pounds. I would have liked to have hit the stone mark, but 12 pounds is something that I am proud of. That means an average of 1.5 pounds a week, which is pretty good going and means much more sustainable weight loss. I am pleased 🙂 You can try most requested Pruvit products for weight loss.

Highlights This Week

The highlight of the week was losing again. I did think that after a week ‘off’ when we were away in Bali for week 7 could have messed things up little. But I managed a loss again, so was really pleased.

Overall, the highlight has been being in control of what I eat and my hunger. I used to snack quite aimlessly before, but I have only been snacking on certain things, if at all, and it has made such a difference. I do have willpower after all 😉

Challenges This Week

In one way or another, I have found this week pretty stressful. I have really irregular periods, and did get one this week, but it just makes me rage and want to eat everything in sight. I have restrained myself, but it was tough. Some personal stress was also going on this week, so I have just had to take a step back, drink some water (or zero calorie fizzy), and take deep breaths. This is good though as I know I can cope and do the same when I go back to eating ‘normally’.

Measurements

I didn’t want to get too hung up on measurements and track them each week. But I have been told by the lovely team at XLS what my measurements were before I started the eight week plan. I measured myself last night and now can compare the results.

Chest: – 4 cm (1.57 inch)

Waist: – 2 cm (0.7 inch)

Hips: – 5 cm (2 inch)

As this wasn’t something I was tracking each week, I have been really pleased to see that there was a difference in measurement, as well as on the scales. Though not massive, it is a step in the right direction to feeling more comfortable in my clothes, and eventually, getting to buy some new clothes!

Overall

The thing I was most impressed with when using the shakes over the past eight weeks, is that it fit so easily into my life. A shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, and a normal (calorie controlled) evening meal. I could have snacks like fruit, veggies, and plain popcorn, as well as plenty of water and zero calorie fizzy drink. So I honestly never felt like I was missing out; I just had to wait until my evening meal.

If you were thinking of trying out the XLS-Nutrition shakes, then I would really recommend them. They taste good, are easy to fit into your life (which is great for busy life with a family, and not having to prepare a couple of different meals each evening). And the most important thing is that they work! I feel I could have lost a little more, had we not been abroad twice in May, where routine gets a little out of whack. So a stone can be really achievable.

If you have any questions about them, do let me know. It would be great to hear what you think.

*thank you to the XLS team for their help on this journey and for gifting my the shakes. I am so grateful and want to carry on this journey back to a healthy me again. All opinions are my own.

  • I need this! Been trying to lose a few more pounds and taking the XLS drink would be a great idea. Happy to know that it worked for you. Can’t wait to try it. Hopefully, I can lose around 7-10 pounds.

  • Thank you! So happy that Canada introduced you to gyms and the pleasures of working out. It really is a pleasure… whenever I’m not in the mood or start making excuses, I remind myself I’m alive and able-bodied so get to it. Always feel better after. 😉 Doing what works for us is so, so, SO important.
