One thing we all know as mums is that, when it comes to jeans, you can never have too many pairs in your son’s wardrobe.
Whether he’s out on his bike, on a play date, or looking cool at the school disco, boy’s jeans are the number one wardrobe essential that no lad can live without. But gone are the days when buying a pair of boy’s jeans was restricted to picking up a pair of blue baggies – these days he can pick a different style and colour for every day of the week!
Skinnies
Got a future boy band member hanging around your household? Indulge his love of fashion with an on-trend pair of skinny jeans. Available in every conceivable colour, they’ll look great with his rock star sunglasses, battered sneakers and logo t-shirt. If he doesn’t want to go too tight fitting, a cool pair of slim fit jeans will be just what you’re looking for. But don’t worry about him feeling uncomfortable – most modern skinny boys jeans have added stretch so his dance moves won’t be restricted!
Elastic Waist
A lot of younger boys would live in pyjama bottoms if they could, but the good news is that style doesn’t need to come at the expense of comfort. An elasticated waist is a cool but comfy look (and the drawstring comes in handy if they’re loose around the middle.) George’s boys jeans range have a brilliant selection of this style, featuring matching cuffs around the bottom, combining the comfort of jogging bottoms with the hardiness of jeans. Just the ticket for climbing trees or kicking a football round the garden!
Carrot
If your boy’s more of a trendsetter than a fashion follower, be aware he’s not asking you for one of his five a day next time he demands a carrot. Loose and roomy on top, but with that crucial skinny fit at the bottom (hence the name!), he’ll be turning heads this spring. But this designer look doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag attached. All the high street shops and supermarkets have nailed this boy’s denim trend making it easy and affordable.
Slouch
If his style is more relaxed and laid-back, then he needs a pair of slouch jeans to make his style statement this spring. This loose-fitting shape is available in lots of colours and washes and the addition of turn-ups and extra seam details on many styles add an extra touch of fashion flourish to his look.
Basic
Fashion has its place but no junior wardrobe is complete without at least a couple of pairs of basic jeans that he can just throw on and go. They look good, they wear well and these days, they’re cheaper than ever.
So when it comes to boy’s jeans, it couldn’t be easier to find the perfect pair at George at ASDA, and the great prices available mean you’ll have some cash left over to treat yourself to a pair too!
