Brooklands Hotel Parents Retreat Spa Day | Review

Is there anything better than taking some time out for yourself and enjoying some time at a spa? I don’t really think so! Though, if you’re anything like me, it will be quite a rare thing. But when you’re a busy working parent, some time out from everything can be just what the doctor ordered. Being able to relax and refresh can mean that I’m better able to be the best wife and mum that I can be. I’m not in a fit state to look after anyone when I’m not looking after myself, right?

I was invited along to the Brooklands Hotel in Surrey, a stunning four-star hotel right by the Brooklands and Mercedes Museums, and located right within the site of the historic Brooklands motor circuit. I went along with four other bloggers (Katy, Emma, Hannah & Carissa), for a parents retreat. The morning started out with lunch in the beautiful restaurant – the attention to detail in the place is really stunning. Followed on by an afternoon in the spa.

About the Day

We had all chosen a treatment that we’d like which was just under an hour of our relaxation. I was surprised that I didn’t fall asleep! I had the ‘relaxing and nourishing body wrap’ treatment and my skin was left feeling amazing afterwards. Plus, just being in a dimly lit room with some relaxing music and not having to do anything but lay there was so lovely. I need to do this kind of thing more often I think!

apparently I didn’t get the stripey memo!

About the Spa

After my treatment, I was able to enjoy the use of the rest of the spa area. One of which involved a mediation room, where you get to relax on waterbeds and chill for a timed session (though Hannah and I did just have a good natter – luckily there was just the two of us in there)! After that, we used the sauna and steam room, as well as then heading out to the pièce de résistance; the hot tub on the balcony. It overlooks the Mercedes track, so it makes for a really unique experience for sure. Perfect for motor heads too, though it isn’t noisy. I kept thinking that my husband would really love it as he is a massive F1 fan. We were able to relax and enjoy the time, which was really refreshing. The hotel felt really luxurious too, and it is modern and stylish in decor, yet giving a nod to some classic car and motorsport themes.

Why Not Try It Yourself?

If you’d like to have a trip to the Brooklands Hotel spa and enjoy your own relaxing retreat, then SpaSeekers are offering busy parents the chance to have some ‘me’ time to relax and rejuvenate. All you need to do is visit their website to find out how – more details are on this link, and you can see a few more pictures from our day there too.

I would really recommend it, so what are you waiting for?

Have you ever been to this hotel? When was the last time you went to a spa? I’d love to have a stay at the hotel – it was so lovely and modern.
