Mobile games have become the go-to boredom killer among most age groups. Once you find a game you like, you quickly forget about your troubles and get to have the time of your life. Puzzle games are some of the best when you need that instant adrenaline boost. Engaging but at the same time extremely challenging, these games leave you feeling not just refreshed but also unplugged. And, we know just which ones to go for.
The Room Series
The Room isn’t exactly new; it’s been around for a while. However, it’s without a doubt one of the best games you can play at any given time. The latest release “The Room: Old Sins,” in particular, is a classic escape room puzzle about a creepy dollhouse located in the attic of a brilliant engineer’s home. Using a special eyepiece, you will need to inspect the attic to unravel the mysterious disappearance of the engineer and his wife. Talk about a journey into the wilderness! If this doesn’t quite float your boat, then you could try ready-to-play escape room kits.
Twenty48 Solitaire
If you’re a gaming enthusiast, you’ll have noticed that the game borrows from 2048 – another excellent puzzle game worth checking out. The only difference between the two is that instead of slide matching number blocks into each other and doubling up your blocks until you hit the magic number (2048), Twenty48 Solitaire involves playing cards on four discarded piles. This makes it extremely challenging – which is what every gamer craves, right?
Hocus
A favorite among millions of gamers, Hocus incorporates over 100 official puzzles into a single game, making it a series of puzzles that can take several days to solve. Moving a cube around the shape is accomplished in a simple swipe and when you arrive at an intersection, you can completely change direction. The goal, however, remains – to get the cube to the red finish marker as fast as you can. Good luck with that.
Threes!
Another masterpiece, Threes!, (don’t forget the exclamation mark at the end when searching for the game on Google Apps Store) is a fun number-based puzzle game. The goal is to swipe around the grid and match like numbers. Sounds easy, yeah? Well, there’s a catch. You’re only allowed a limited number of moves. If you run out of moves before matching all the like numbers, you’ve lost!
Euclidean Skies
So far, we’ve only discussed android games. The iOS too has a number of juicy puzzle games to look out for, with Euclidean Skies being one of the best. Comparable to the likes of Monument Valley and Rubik’s Cube, Euclidean Skies requires that you guide your adventurer through a series of puzzles. You’ll need clever maneuvers and a bit of risk taking to knock out your foes and get hazards out of the way.
Other top puzzle games worth a shout
Five other excellent mobile games for puzzle lovers are; Bridge Constructor Portal, Two Dots, and Hitman Go for Android, and Monument Valley 2 and Layton: Curious Village in HD for iOS users. Remember – it’s twice the fun playing with a partner!
