Christmas Gift Guide | For Her

I am so in the festive spirit it is ridiculous! I am really looking forward to Christmas now that Halloween and Bonfire Night have been and gone. I always remember my brother saying as we grow up that he knew it was time to get ready for Christmas when he saw the red and green colours of poppies for November 11th. It is a lovely time of year to remember and to help others.

It is also a lovely time of year to be able to give gifts to others too. Now, I’m not going to lie, I’d be pretty happy with any of these things under the tree this year. But if you’ve got a sister, wife, mum, daughter or grandma, then these could all work well for her. Is there anything in particular that you’re excited to give to a loved one this year?

1.Wild & Wolf 746 Phone from Red Candy – £37

I have had my eye on this phone from Red Candy for a while now; I just love the retro style of it all. We do use our home phone from time to time, but rarely do I need it for a long wandering around the house phone call. So I quite like that this is all kept in one place and makes a feature in the home. There are several different colours that it comes in, but I just loved the teal and thought it added to the retro look even more.

2. Cinnamon Mini Pot Candle – £5.50

Is it even a gift guide without a scented candle on the list? I have had to bid goodbye to a certain brand of scented candles, though, as I didn’t like the toxic ingredients that they use. So enter a natural scented candle from Amphora Aromatics. They have a pretty wide range of scents but cinnamon is perfect for a festive stocking filler. The price is good too and competitive with other brands scented candles. Just nicer that its all natural.

3. Winter Spice Christmas Hot Chocolate – £9

I have tried this hot chocolate from Hotel Chocolat before, and it is a dream! If you like to have a hot drink over the cooler months, then it will make a great little stocking filler. Top with whipped cream and you’re winning at life.

4. Fujifilm Instax Mini-8 Camera – £59

With a lot of my photographs being online or just kept on devices these days, I quite like the idea of going old-school and getting a camera that prints out photos instantly. It would be fund for using with the kids, as well as parties and events. Love the yellow colour too.

5. Ugg Australia Women’s Scuffette Slipper – £71.76

I bought some of these Ugg slippers back in April and I think it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. The price per wear is insane as I practically live in mine. They are so comfy and keep your feet nice and warm. Everyone needs a pair in their life!

6. Wisdom & Wordplay Book by Robert Eddison – £8.99

This book is perfect for a gift for a woman in your life that loves to read and has a good sense of humour. Having said that, it is full of witty aphorisms and quotes, so it can almost be used as ‘page a day’ kind of book for people that aren’t natural readers. It covers a variety of different fun and serious topics that will have you thinking all day. Having a copy of my own, I know that it is a good book to dip in and out of. Would definitely recommend as a stocking filler for someone this year.

7. ghd Hair Dryer in Blush – £99

I know what you’re thinking; £99 for a hairdryer? But having used my sisters version of this, I can say that it is completely worth it. The best hair dryer I have ever used; it left my hair feeling silky and soft, and dried my thick hair quickly. Like the slippers, it has a good price per wear s it will be something that gets used daily in our house.

8. Reed Diffuser Kit: Mulled Pear & Spices – £13.50

The same brand as the scented candle above, I fell in love with a natural reed diffuser. Perfect for this time of year to fresh up a room without having to use a flame. The mulled pear and spices is a lovely scent too.

9. Star Wars Travel Mug – £11.99

Having a son that is pretty Star Wars obsessed, I have a penchant for all cute things Star Wars. And how cute is this Star Wars travel mug? Great for winter when you want a hot drink on the go, but gives you instant street red with R2D2 on. Want!

10. Marble Make Up Brush Set – £32

I am in major need of some new makeup brushes, and love the marble design of these. Really cute for any makeup lovers in your life. If you fancy a set for yourself, then use the code AAUBLOG20 to get 20% off your purchase at Coconut Lane.

11. T2 Moroccan Tealeidoscope Teapot for one – £46

I went to a tea tasting and launch of T2 in John Lewis a couple of weeks ago and just feel in love with the designs. Really unique and colourful, I could have added the whole range to the list! This tea for one is my favourite, though, as it works as a tea pot and then divides to be a mug too. Super cute.

12. Palm Make Up Bag – £14

If you need new makeup brushes then you need a new makeup bag, right? This one is just dreamy with its tropical palm print design. Again, use the code AAUBLOG20 to get 20% off if you want one for yourself.

13. Kate Spade Notebook – £16

I love to get a new notebook and wall calendar each year to help me get organised and remember all that we need to remember. Would not be mad about this coral Kate Spade beauty being found in my stocking this year.

14. Love for Save the Children Sweater – £50

I have a tee from the FMLY Store and just love it. Slogan tees that not only look good but do good. There is a new range for Christmas where half of sales goes to Save the Children, so why not? love the boat neck on this ‘love’ one.

Anything else that I would recommend?

Another fantastic gift for her is a choice of stunning personalised watches from GiftsOnline4u.com. When thinking about gifts for my mum and mother-in-law, it can be quite tricky. I want to get the something quite fancy, but obviously, we have a certain budget to stick to. I think that choosing them something that is personalised always seems to work well (especially if it is ‘from’ the grandchildren). So choosing engraved gifts for her is always a good idea, if you ask me!

For a watch that is engraved and costs under £50, I think you’re onto a pretty good deal. Plus, how pretty is it? I love the style of it and am tempted to get one for myself. Shiny, sturdy but still delicate looking; ticks all the boxes. The engraved watch feels so well made and feels strong and durable. I like the heavy nature of it, if that makes sense? Doesn’t feel flimsy or like it will break, which is always good when you’re looking for a new watch. I like that it clips together like a bracelet too, rather than a bangle, but it can be adjusted to fit wrist size accordingly.

The ordering process for the watch is simple as you are told how many letters can fit on each line. It was quick to get delivered too, if you’re more of a last minute person when it comes to gifts. I’d allow a week to be safe, though.
