I think everyone has heard of the show ‘Come Dine with Me’ where you host a dinner party and get scored on your menu. I love cooking and trying out new recipes so I was definitely up for inviting some friends over to #TryMyMenu (though there was no judging of food – perhaps there would have been if someone was offering £1000 prize)?! Ha.
The lovely people at StressFreePrint offered to print out some menus for us for the dinner party and I was really pleased with the whole process. They are an online printing company and they print all sorts of things from menus to leaflets, to business cards to banners. I designed a menu idea that I liked, with of course what I wanted the menu to say and emailed it over. The team were really helpful and offered advice and things that they could tweak to improve the quality of the final menu. In the end, they redesigned it all for me and I loved the outcome. The quality and finish was brilliant and they printed the menu on one side, keeping the wave pattern printed on the back too – looked really striking and effective. My guests were very impressed with the menu too!
I had some camera shy guests (blogger problems) that didn’t want the whole of the evening documented but it was lots of fun and we had, I hope, some delicious food. As you can read in the menu, I went for Caribbean style food, starting with fish cakes and mango salsa (tastes much better than it looks), rasta pasta for the main course – a recipe by Levi Roots, so Caribbean! 😉 For dessert, I made a Deliciously Ella recipe of coconut cream tartlets, with strawberries. I hadn’t made it before but I was really pleased with how they turned out – the bonus being they only sweetened from the dates and strawberries. They were just the right size for a dinner party too. It was a great evening to catch up with friends and we just chatted and chatted.
I hadn’t heard of StressFreePrint until now and I was so impressed with them. Like the name says, it literally was stress-free. I would definitely use them again for things like birthday banners and I’m in need of business cards too. The one consideration though would be that you obviously need to have an idea of what you want in mind as they just print They were really helpful in the design process though if you’re not as confident in designing your own.
