When I first had a baby, trips out, although it could take a while to leave, were relatively straight forward. Baby would sleep for the majority of it, and would be fed like clockwork every three hours. Then it comes to weaning and then onto a toddler, and things can need to be planned out much more.
I like to be quite organised at the best of times, so would stress myself out sometimes. What if I didn’t have enough food or drink to occupy them? What if they had a tantrum while we were out? Did I have enough bribes?! So I have learnt to always have some snacky things in for kids. Having been sent some of the Mamia range of baby and toddler food from Aldi, we have been taking these out on our little trips out. The range starts from as little as 59p, so it is pretty easy to stock up on and have one or two in your changing bag. The price is pretty epic, right?!
Sometimes when things area bit cheaper, you think that they aren’t as good quality. But the Mamia range is organic and full of goodness. There are several different things from fruit and veg pouches to rice cakes and fruit pots. My two have always been a fan of the fruit pouches. These were no exception and were enjoyed by both of them (I had to have a cheeky taste too, of course)! Some are just fruit and some a fruit and veg. Both went down well, though. It is reassuring to know that they are organic as well. Other organic fruit pouches cost nearly double the amount of these ones. So I will definitely be going to Aldi again for these.
We recently took a trip out to Bewl Water in Kent. As you can see it was a little blustery. But it was nice to know that I could just throw these pouches in my bag, and everyone would be happy. The flavoured water was a treat too. Much tastier than just the normal water I take out on trips with us. Although my kids can eat normal food when we are out, it can be pricey to eat out at cafes or just grab food from a shop. So having food like this with us is really handy.
I haven’t shopped at Aldi much, as there isn’t one particularly close to us. I think I will be making an extra effort to go there, though. I have been so pleased with the Mamia baby and child range. I would really recommend them!

Taking the kids out for the day can seem like you’re off for a weekend, right? lol! I love these little snack ideas. Not that I ever leave the house without food in my bag because a hangry 3yr old is NOT what anyone needs, lol. x
My little one adores fruit pouches and the aldi ones are so well priced!

Both my kids loved the rice cakes.
My youngest loves the puree in her breakfast. Big hit for sure.
