Father’s Day Gift Guide

Have you ever heard of the ‘five love languages?’ It is something I have known about for a while, but it has helped in our marriage, and just relationships in general. When you know what someone’s love language is, it is how they like to be shown love. When you know what yours is, as well as what the people around you prefer, it helps to know how to show love to them on a daily basis, as well as on special occasions.

As the name suggests, there are five of them, ranging from acts of service to words of affirmation. One of the love languages that is mostly my love language is ‘gifts.’ Although this is one of my top love languages, it is one of the top ones that I like to show love with. So with Father’s Day just around on the corner, on Sunday 21st June, I have been looking into what I can get for my dad, as well as my father-in-law, and my husband, the dad our children.

Here are some suggestions for gifts for Father’s Day, ranging from a variety of different budgets and themes. Is there anything here that you think would work?

Chocolates from Guylian*

I always think of my dad when I see chocolates from Guylian. He loves Belgian chocoalte (who doesn’t, right?) and their classic sea shell boxes make a great gift for Father’s Day, The chocolates are made using the finest Mediterranean hazelnuts, that are roasted and caramelised before being blended with premium Belgian chocolate. The sea shell boxes from Guylian’s are iconic, and never disappoint!

The boxes are available in a small box of 4 pieces for £1, a 250g box which has 22 pieces for £5, or for a 375g box with 33 pieces for £7.50.

Teapigs Cold Brew Bottle Kit*

With summer pretty much here, despite the weather, it is a great time to get dad to drink some more water and have some refreshing cold brew teas. I have been a fan of Teapigs for a while, as their herbal and fruity teas are my favourite (and their teas are a plastic-free).

They have something new now, with a cold brew kit. It contains a Joseph Joseph water bottle, and comes with three cold brew tea temples to get dad started (1 x peach & mango, 1 x lychee & rose, 1 x cucumber & apple). Having tried all of these, I can confirm just how delicious these cold brew flavours are. I think it is a great gift for summer! Priced at £11.99, I think the cold brew kit bottle kit is really reasonable.

Bike Riders Essentials Gift Set

This is a set from Not on the High Street, and is great for a keen cyclist in the house. It covers every eventuallity for when they are out on their travels, and is the perfect size to throw onto a backpack or a bike bag. The kit includes muscle rub, chafing cream, and all the accessories that any man who loves cycling could need. The muscle rub and chafing cream are made from natural ingredients with no added nasties. I think it’s a cute gift, and perfect for dad.

Priced at £25 for the bike rider’s essentials kit, I think you do get value for money, as the ingredients are quality, and the kit is well made and good quality.

Dad Superpower Mug

This mug is from Sass and Belle, and I just thought that this Dad Superpower Mug looked really cool. Which dad do we know that doesn’t enjoy a hot drink in a lovely mug? It is a good size, dishwasher safe, and made of quality porcelain. Priced at £7.50, I think it is a good little gift, that could be teamed with some luxury hot chocolate powder or their favourite tea bags.

Tan Rosie Foods Garlic & Pepper Hot Sauce

Mother and daughter team Monica and Lee founded Tan Rosie Foods, creating tantalising Caribbean food inspired by family recipes from Grenada and Carriacou. I discovered them on Instagram, after a recommendation from someone I follow, for ‘the best hot sauce ever’ when looking for more British black-owned businesses. They sell a variety of different foods and sauces, including chilli fudge! My husband is hot sauce obsessed, though, so I knew it had to go into the basket for Father’s Day.

For one bottle of the Tan Rosie hot sauce, the price is £4.80 – free postage on all orders! I think that you get good deal, as hot sauce last for ages! You can get gift hampers too, and this hot sauce comes in packs of three for £12 as well.

What is your favourite thing here? It would be great to hear what you think. Hope you have fun with Father’s Day, whatever your plans, and whoever you celebrate.

*post contains gifted items, however all words and opinions are my own.
