A Few of My Favourite Things | August

Wow, wow, wow, it is September! Say, what?! That means I have got a son starting school shortly, and that it won’t be long until everything starts to look autumnal. I am not going to lie, I do like autumn and all it has to offer. We have some exciting things happening this month too, so it’s not all bad 😉 But here are some of my favourite things from August. As always, a random selection, but hey, I am quite random!

Costco

I haven’t been to Costco for a while, but then made two trips there last month. Their selection has really improved and it is full of things that we buy regularly. So buying in bulk has been fab. The cupboards are well and truly stocked up. Nothing better!

Livia’s Kitchen Raw Millionaire BitesScreen Shot 2016-08-25 at 21.22.06

Since stopping eating refined sugar, I am always looking out for sweet things to satisfy any cravings. I have got the Livia’s kitchen cookbook, which is full of gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free recipes. Being able to buy some of her raw millionaire bites to always have in is so helpful. I haven’t had time to do as much baking with it being the school holidays. So these have been fab! If only i could buy them at my local supermarket, rather than having to buy online 🙁

Women’s Fitness*

I have been gifted a subscription to Women’s Fitness and it has been fabulous! It does sound cheesy but it has been helping me with my workouts, as there are some fab ones in there. Each new magazine arrives just as I am getting bored of one workout so it is times well. There are some fab recipes in there too. I rarely make the same dinner twice, so always try out new recipes. I’ve made several from the issues I have had sent through so far. I think I will carry on the subscription after it ends as I have really made good use out of it.

Music

There have been some absolute tunes that I have discovered this month. I am a big DC Comics fan (ok, stop laughing now), so of course, I had to see Suicide Squad. I really loved it but the husband wasn’t as sure. The soundtrack was pretty epic too. My favourite song was the main theme from the film: Heathens from Twenty One Pilots.

I love using my Spotify at the gym and Christine and the Queens keeps coming on whenever I select the UK Top 50 list. I can see why – I love it! Not the best to work out to, I must admit. But good all the same. Here are the two songs I have listened to most in August, if you haven’t heard them (yes, I have quite random music taste. I love all sorts)!

What have you been loving lately?
