A Few of Our Favourite Things in March

Wow, how much has March flown by?! I probably sound like a broken record saying that every month, but where does the time go? Here are just a few things that we’ve been enjoying over the past month. As ever, a bit of a random bunch. But it is to help keep memories of the things that we’ve done, as well as share some finds with you that you could try too. Let me know what you think!

Bahlsen Mini Biscuits*

My two kids love the Bahlsen biscuits. So now that there are mini versions available, it has gone down very well in our house. They are just the right size for kids, without being too much or getting melted chocolate everywhere. The new mini range contains waffle minis, Messinio minis, and Leibinz chocolate minis. The kids loved them all, but did like the orange of the Messinio minis – a but like jaffa cakes really. I have since spotted them on Ocado so will certainly be getting them again.

Tea Pigs Feel Good Teas*

I do love a good herbal tea in my life. Tea Pigs have been one of my go-to brands as they are all natural and I like the strength of them. Can’t stand a weak fruit tea! They have a new range of ‘feel-good’ teas that they have just released. I have been trying them out recently and I love them! The three new teas that they have are:

  • Clean & Green – a detox and pick-me-up tea
  • Snooze – a sleepy tea, perfect for before bed as it doesn’t have any caffeine, just fruit and lavender (might sound gross but it really isn’t)!
  • Up-Beet – a tea for energy, with beetroot, as the name suggests

They are cheaper than the ‘regular’ Tea Pigs teas, so I will definitely stock up with more when I run out. The husband has been using them too so they are a winner with us all!

Going to a Wedding

At the beginning of the month we were able to go to one of my friend’s weddings. I have known her for over six years now, so it was really lovely to see her marry her love. It was a very special and lovely day. They are a pretty chilled out couple and it did show – really lovely. My husband was asked to play the piano for the service so it made it extra special for me. Though it is nice to hear him play other music than just those five pieces needed for the wedding, haha.

World Book Day

At the beginning of the month it was World Book Day. The boy’s school did things a day late and they also asked everyone to dress up as a Where’s Wally character, due to the 30th Anniversary of the books coming up. Max was super excited to dress up as Wally. He has a few of the books so it was nice to go through them with him over the month as well. They’re actually quite hard! Though I do have terrible eyesight. Now, here’s hoping that we’ll get use out of this costume in the future…

Vileda SuperMocio Mop*

Such a housewife, but this mop from Vileda has been heaven sent this past month. Our bathrooms and kitchen are tiled floors, so they do need mopping. But we haven’t had a proper working mop for a while now. It has been a case of getting on my knees to clean the floor, which is rather uncomfortable on cold, tiled flooring.

The mop includes a red non-scratch scourer which makes it stand out from other mops, to get any stubborn dirt away. It is also made from microfibre which helps to lift greasy stains that can easily gather on a kitchen floor. The other thing that is quite unique for it is that the mop has 3D red dots to help pick up bits of fluff and hair. I have found it to work really well. The wringing action, together with the bucket make it easy to not have a dripping wet floor. So I found it does dry really quickly. I would recommend it and will definitely get a replacement head when this one gets worn out.

Metcalfe’s Skinny Popcorn*

My kids love to eat popcorn, and generally, I will just get our own kernels and pop them. However, after finding a brand that doesn’t coat their popcorn in lots of sugar or caramel type of stuff, I like to just grab some of Metcalfe’s Skinny popcorn. There are several different flavours that we’ve been trying out, but I do like classic salty or am newly converted to maple bacon. It is a dream!

Million Dollar Blog Book

I bought this book a while ago, but haven’t got round to reading it for quite a while now. My husband is an avid reader (and has the commute to read for a couple of hours a day), so he actually read if before me. I loved that he was taking an interest in my blogging. But the benefit from it is that it helps him to understand it all, and he has actually made suggestions from reading it, as a result.

I think the book is written brilliantly. It is really engaging and quite easy to dip in and out of, which is what I have been doing. I have found new things to try and have made changes as a result of reading the book, even after doing this blogging lark for over three years. So if you are interested in blogging, keen to progress, or are a bit of a newbie, I would recommend it to anyone. It is available on Amazon for just under a tenner which is a bargain. Such sound advice and examples from bloggers that I know and follow. Really inspiring!

What have you been loving over the past month? I’d love to hear.
