Wow, we are now in October! Pretty crazy how fast things are going this year. October is usually the month that I get most of our Christmas shopping done. But I still feel a little in denial that it is even going to be that time of year again. Anyhow, it is what it is. Here are some things that I have been loving in September.
Ninas Popcorn*
First of all, one of the reasons to love this superfood popcorn is because of the packaging. How cute?! It has kept me on a summer kind of vibe with the pretty floral packaging. Ninas popcorn uses superfoods to flavour and there is no added sugar or anything refined.
The tastes were amazing. There are savoury flavours like the sriracha and spirulina as well as the lemon, kale and pepper. Both of these were tasty but they are pretty spicy / hot. I don’t mind that but I know some people that might. My favourites, though, I must admit, were the sweeter ones. The cacao, goji berry and pistachio has such a lovely nutty chocolatey taste. The coconut, salt and maca was the ultimate favourite! I love maca anytime of day anyway. The malted kind of taste is just gorge. Added with some saltiness and coconut and it was such a winning combo.
The popcorn is a little on the pricey side, but you can see why as it is full of wholesome and natural ingredients. They are £2 a bag. They are delicious though and something I would love again; especially the coconut flavour.
Pulsin Raw Chocolate Brownie Bars
When you eat a diet that avoids dairy and refined-sugar, sweet treats really are the trickiest thing. Yeah, I can make my own. But sometimes I just really lack time to do it. I get a lot of things ordered in from places like Planet Organic. But now that Aldi have started selling these Pulsin brownie bars, I can just grab them from my local store.
Really pleased with them – they all taste so good. They come in packs of three and cost just over £2 for the box. For me and my diet, it is totally worth it. Would recommend them!
Brooklyn 99
I am late to most parties when it comes to TV series. I have the Netflix app though and like to find new things to watch for when I’m cooking or cleaning. Brooklyn 99 is one of the funnies things I have watched in a long time – laugh out loud hilarious! The episodes are only about 20 minutes each, so they fit in if you are busy.
If you have liked Bad Education or Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, then you will love Brooklyn 99. Now I just need to get Netflix UK to upload the most recent series!
Younique BB Cream
I like to use a BB cream anyway, as they are just light and easy to apply. It feels like you are putting on a moisturiser but gives you coverage as well. Perfect for me now that I am a school-run mum! I have been using Younique’s Flawless BB cream, as one of my friends is a Younique presenter. So I thought I would give it a go and see what the fuss is all about. I have actually been pleasantly surprised by the coverage it gives. I have been using the shade ‘bisque’, if you’re interested. I know that it can be a bit daunting to buy makeup without being able to ‘try it on’.
I have been really pleased with it. So I might just have to try out the foundation next time.
What have you been loving over the past month?

I also bought those Pulsin brownie bars from Aldi but I just haven’t tried them yet. Good to hear you like them! I wasn’t totally sure how maca would taste like..

I love popcorn – this looks yummy! We got back off a holiday to Menorca last night so I am really not in Autumn mode yet! I will be soon 😉 Kaz x
Oooh I looked at those brownie bars but wasn’t sure whether they’d taste very nice so I’m glad I’ve read this. X
Oh that popcorn looks delish! I’m also a BB cream fan these days too. 🙂 xx
