Books and Games from Quarto
I think something to read is always a good option for stocking fillers. Not only that, but you can also get advent calendar books from Quarto, such as the Little People, BIG DREAMS Advent Calendar Books Collection. As you might imagine, the advent calendar includes 24 mini books from the iconic Little People, BIG DREAMS series.
Inside each envelope are the stories of inspirational people from across the world, from musicians such as Elton John and Taylor Swift, to eco-hero Steve Irwin, freedom-fighter Martin Luther King and visionary artist Frida Kahlo. Priced at £21.99, it is a good deal for what you get, and much more meaningful than just a choccy advent calendar.
There are also such lovely books to choose from to do with the festive season. Some of my top picks are:
- Silent Night (£7.99)
- A World Full of Christmas Crafts (£12.99)
- Christmas (£7.99) to discover the true meaning of Christmas and see how other children celebrate Christmas all around the world
- Hanukkah (£7.99) to discover the joy and meaning of Hanukkah, the Jewish festival of lights.

Personalised Books from Letterfest
Their beautifully personalised children’s books are the perfect gift for young children. Personalised children’s books help young minds understand the story and hold their interest as their name is on there. Whether they’re starting to recognise the letters of their own name, or they know their name by sound, getting books personalised with more than just their names to make each one unique.
- The first book that we got for Mason this year is the Personalised Alphabet Zoo Story Book. Mason really loves animals at the moment, so this is perfect for him! He is also getting good at recognising letters so it is a good story book for him to read with us before bed and quiet time. The books is £24.95, which includes the personalisation.
- The next book that we have is the Personalised Search for Santa Book. Again, priced at £24.95, this is a book that can be completely personalised, which my littlest has been loving. The book is all about finding Santa hiding in each page, following along with the magical story, involving Christmas Eve and travelling to the North Pole to find Santa.
- As well as books for younger children, you can get personalised notebooks for people off all ages. My tween and teen chose a notebook each that had been persoanlised. One with pink flamingos (her absolute favourite) and one simple with initials. Such good stocking fillers!
- Letterfest also do engraved gifts and personalised books that aren’t just for the kids. So a fab idea for new parents or grandparents this Christmas too.
The quality of these books is amazing, and I just think it it extra special that they are persoanlised exactly as you want for the recipient. You can get 10% off here, when using the code: lfsurreymum10
My Take Along Noah’s Ark from Playmobil
I have mentioned above that my littlest, aged 2, is currently very into animals – the sounds they make, their names, and he’s never without a little animal figurine in hand. With this Playmobil Noah’s Ark set, you can play out the story of Noah’s Ark and get to know the diverse animal kingdom through play and fun. As the rain starts pouring and the water rises, Noah and his wife load the animals onto their ark in pairs. One by one, the animals board the ship via the ramp. I like that the everything can be contained into the ark, so that it can be take on the move, and there’s a home for everything when it comes to packing away at the end of playing.
You know you’re getting a quality product with Playmobil. The set is the perfect size for children from age 1 and up. The beauty of this kind of set is that children can get lots of different use of it, depending on their age, so it will last and last.
Priced at £23.49, I think it is a bargain (plus, you can get an extra 20% off on the Playmobil website using the code EXCLUSIVE20).
LittleLife Toddler Backpack
The original toddler backpacks that come with a rein! LittleLife was the first to develop these ingenious bags with detachable safety reins. Their clever design helps you teach your child to walk and wander, whilst helping with balance and confidence. I love that the designs of the bags are bright and colourful. They can fit in items that you’ll need for a day out, such as snacks and nappies, and the bonus of the reins is amazing! I had one of these for my older children, which I gave to someone else when they had outgrown it. Then my littlest surprise came along, so knew that a LittleLife backpack was a must!
The dinosaur backpack is priced at £18.99 (other designs are £19.99). An amazing price point for the quality that you get. Very happy with ours.
It would be great to hear what you think about these gift suggestions. Are there any gifts that you are particularly excited for this year?
*contains some gifted samples. All opinions are my own and would only recommend something that I am happy to pay for myself.
