I have a guest post from the lovely Gemma (bonus that she is my sister-in-law too) from the London based parenting blog Pushchairs and Busfares. They were able to attend a Finding Dory event for us, as I had other commitments on the day. It was so fun to hear how Gemma and my nephew George and niece Sophie, got on at the event! I am rather jealous I must admit. Over to Gemma… ~ Rebecca _____________________________________________________________________
We were so excited to be able to attend a special screening of ‘Finding Dory’ before its UK cinema release date, on behalf of Rebecca and her blog. We headed to the Disney headquarters in Hammersmith, West London which was a really lovely location.
We were welcomed by some lovely Huggies representatives, due to the Huggies® Little Swimmers® teaming up with Disney Pixar to have the Finding Dory design this summer. So then we headed upstairs for some yummy refreshments before the film started. The kids were so excited to get an ice lolly and some juice on hand, perfect for a warm day.
We were led into the small theatre, picking up our 3D glasses along the way. The seats were nicely arranged so that even the little ones had a great view of the screen. The children and I absolutely loved the film. It was funny and heart warming and just a really great family film. I don’t think you can too far wrong with anything Disney related!
It was the first time the children he watched anything in 3D so I was a little worried about how they would do with it. They kept their glasses on the whole time and really seemed mesmerised by the experience. Afterwards, we received a lovely goodie bag before heading home, making the day extra special. Perfect for just making a few spontaneous trips to the splash pad this summer. I would highly recommend ‘Finding Dory’ as a wonderful family movie that even parents will enjoy.

This looks so much fun! How old is your youngest? I was thinking of taking my 2 year old but not sure if she is too young? Xx
Aaah I think the boys are just about old enough to really appreciate something like this!!! They’re 3 now and have just started really enjoying Disney films and similar!!! 🙂

What a fab event – I’m desperate to see Finding Dory. My daughter only turned two in April so she’s still a little young for the cinema. I genuinely can’t wait until we can go to the cinema together though. x
