With spring in full swing, (supposedly anyway), it might be time to make a few changes in your garden or outside space. Bulbs should be sprouting and flowers should be started to bloom. We’ve got our good old strawberry patch with the strawberry flowers starting to peek out. June is the peak month for them so we’ll have plenty of delicious strawberries as we (hopefully) enjoy plenty of sunshine outside.
We have a distinct lack of places to sit in our garden, though. If I’m honest, the whole layout isn’t exactly ideal. But it is our own private outdoor space, so we get out and enjoy it. We can sit on the lawn if we need to, but it would be great to get a patio or decking area to sit, get some chairs or sun-loungers and chill.
Fishpools have some stunning garden furniture if you’re in the market for some new garden furniture too. Sun-longers, chairs or a new dining set with a shade or parasol are all great to have to get you ready for spring and summer in the garden. Here are a few things that I have spotted that I think would look great in an outdoor space.
I love that the hanging chair could work for any garden space. Even if you just have a balcony space in the city it could pop on there and you can relax in style. I chose the sun-lounger as one of my top picks as it just looks so comfortable and luxurious. I would love to just sit, relax, and read a book in the garden on a sunny evening. Because, let’s be honest, it isn’t going to happen when the kids are awake – sunshine means water fights, right?!
One of my favourite things to do at this time of year is to have a BBQ in the garden. Nothing can beat it in spring and summer. And as I’ve said, we don’t have any places to sit in our garden. So we have to BBQ and then come back inside, or just sit on the grass. I mean, that’s not exactly the end of the world. But it makes a BBQ much better when you can all sit comfortably outside and eat from a proper table and chairs. These sets, one with a table and one just a sofa set, just look so insanely comfy too. So they’d be a dream to have out in my garden.
Have you got any plans for your garden as the weather hots up? Would love to hear what your favourite things about spring and summer are. Are you a BBQ lover like me?*collaborative post – all opinions are my own.
