Urban interiors continue to be a popular choice for living spaces, and it can be so easily replicated in your own home. From the plush pads of Tribeca to the ace apartments of Soho, inspiration can be found at so many interiors from the big city. The key is to incorporate elements of the look in your home, so read on to find out which could work for you. The great thing is, all of these features have been pegged as essentials to stay on trend in 2018 – so you know your home will be bang up to date!
Design Notes
Dark wood
Try sticking to deeper toned woods such as oak, mahogany and walnut. They immediately say “luxurious”, and if you choose weathered finishes you’ll find they suit this theme perfectly!
Metallic accents
Whether rustic copper or burnished chrome, make sure you have a hint of metal in the room. This will add to the industrial feel of a typical Manhattan loft interior whilst giving a touch of class. If in doubt, be sure to stick to the same colour metal throughout your home to avoid unsightly clashes.
Texture mix
Don’t be scared to combine different textures however! This look is all about mixing eclectic fabrics and materials together. Deep grained wood furniture can be paired beautifully with sumptuous woolen Christmas cushions and throws. Although this look may have an urban edge, it should have comfort at its heart.

I love the Manhattan loft look, and would be ideal for my daughter’s room. She’s looking for more simplistic lines, and less colour (having grown from her purple walls and pretty phase). Some great inspiration in your post.
Thank you, it’s such a clean modern look which is great as she won’t get bored of it!
