I am a bit of a Pinterest addict and I kept seeing birth detail prints for your little one’s room, all over the site. I would then click on the link and it would take you to some professional website and the cost for a personalised print would be ridiculous. And some weren’t even including a frame! I have said in my ‘All about me’ section that I want to be good at crafts but I’m not very creative, so I thought this computer based ‘craft’, would be nice and simple for me.
So I thought I would have a go at making my own, for Max’s room. I tend to use PhotoBucket or PicMonkey to edit pictures (thought, if I’m honest I do prefer PicMonkey) so I uploaded a blank document from paint to edit with all sorts
of fonts, with all of Max’s deets. He is a boy, obvs, so I used different shades of blue. Plus, his room is duck egg blue & white so I did it to coordinate with that too.
I just printed it out at home and got a lovely white frame for it from Matalan, for a bargain £5 – et voila! Personalised picture for a fraction of the cost. I was pretty pleased with how it came out but you could always print out on card / photo paper for a sharper / glossier finish. It was really simple, easy, quick and fun to do. I think they may feature this Christmas lots of gifts for my nieces and nephews.
