Starting Our Mornings Right with Bassetts Vitamins

My children being back at school can mean a few things. But, one of the things that I am almost looking forward to is getting back to routine and getting our mornings more productive. I know that when my days are more structured, I get so much more done. The kids eat better, I eat better, and we are just on top of things (generally).

So getting back on the school run and my daughter starting school in her reception year for the first time, getting back to a routine has been a good thing for us. With all the going back to school talk, and starting school for the first time, it really got me thinking of the things I can be doing to make sure they are ready for it all.

Bedtime was pretty bad over the holidays, so this was the first thing that we started getting back to; going to bed at their normal time! But over the past week we have also been trying out some of the new multivitamins that Bassetts Vitamins have just launched, the Omega-3 + Multivitamins Orange Flavour Pastilles for 3-6 year olds.

While my children aren’t mega fussy eaters, they certainly aren’t the best. I actually find breakfast time the worst for them as they just wanted sugar-laden cereal or toast. An occasional smoothie, but that is about it. And I know how important it is for them to have a breakfast that will set them up for the day, especially being back at school.

So while we will continue to strive to get them to try healthier breakfast foods, knowing that they are taking a multivitamin each morning is good peace of mind to help support them for the day ahead*. In fact, each tasty and chewy vitamin contains Vitamin B6 to support psychological function as well as Vitamin B5 which contributes to mental performance. So it is a smart way to start the day!

Not only that, but the multivitamins actually taste good, and the children have been asking for one each morning.

It has been good that we can keep the conversation going about what they are eating and why, and have us all talking about what they need to eat in a day. All of this combined with fact that the multivitamins are made with natural flavours and colours, and no added sugar, means that they have been a winner in our house.

The children have really enjoyed taking the vitamins, and I will be buying them again, for sure. They taste good and do good, which as a parent, is a massive help to me when I want to help them be set up for a day at school. The multivitamins are a great addition to their day, and do help as both of my children can be little fussy eaters*.

They have loved the flavour though and described the flavour as like an orange ice lolly (Chloe, 4) and like lots of glasses of juice (Max, 6). So thumbs up all round!

The RRP for the vitamins is £5.50 for a pack of 30 pastilles. It is pretty competitive for what is out there, and you know exactly what is in them, and that the kids will eat them. Bassetts Vitamins supports and celebrates fun moments families share in their daily lives, much like the school run… Is there never a dull moment? Let’s keep it that way!

Have you tried these vitamins before? Do you have fussy eaters? It would be great to hear what you think.
