When you have a new baby, you hear from everyone what they think are the things that you need. There are plenty of things that you don’t need to. It all becomes obvious as you go on. But what are some of the must haves that you need for a toddler? I’ve been reviewing a few things from Munchkin recently, who I’ll share what I think and if they are needed for the toddler in your life.
Munchkin 360 Cup
If anyone would have told me that I would get super excited about a cup, I would have laughed and laughed. But truly, this Miracle 360 training cup from Munchkin is amazing. I have found that Chloe is just supper messy with sip cups. She just throws them around and leaves them on their side. So with light coloured carpets in our home, it is pretty much a disaster. Even if it’s just water and not juice, it leaves a faint mark.
The Miracle 360 cup has been a dream! Chloe can hold it herself and uses it like she would a ‘normal’ cup. There isn’t a spout, so they use it like you would with any other cup. We do give Chloe a regular cup as and when. But when we are out and about or she’s just wandering or playing at home, the miracle cup has been the go-to. The added bonus is that it just doesn’t spill all over the place. I don’t know how it doesn’t leak, but it doesn’t. I am so pleased with it.
Starting from £5 I think they are a bargain and worth every penny. They need to be on every parent-to-be’s wish list! There are, of course, various designs and colours available.
Go Folding Placemat
When your toddler is feeding themselves, it can get quite messy. The folding placemat is great to try to eliminate the mess. It works better for when your toddler is sitting at the table with you. It grips to the table, without causing any damage. It has a raised edge to keep the food on the placemat. Little things like corn and peas can’t just roll off onto the floor. Chloe has liked using hers and you can tell that she feels special by being the only one with a placemat.
It is easy to clean and clear away, as you just lift it up and it folds in half. Keeping any mess inside it. Then I can just throw the mess away and give it a wipe. It goes in the dishwasher too which is pretty much one of the best things ever. It is easy to take with you as you travel. It fits in my changing bag too, so we can take it with is when we eat out. It is lightweight and easy to carry.
For £13 I don’t think you can go wrong. Good value for money. It is made from plastic, but it seems sturdy and well made (the plastic is BPA free). It would be a good idea to get for a little one’s first or second birthday I think.
