My Go-To Spring Nail Polishes | Guest Post by Bronagh from Bronagh’s Beauty & Books

My next guest post while I am away is from the lovely beauty blogger Bronaugh, from Bronagh’s Beauty and Books. I love hearing what polishes other people prefer – I am rubbish when it comes to my nails and any advice is much appreciated!

Hello Everyone!

I’m Bronagh and I’m from bronaghsbeautyandbooks.com! I run a small beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog. I’m a 20 year old, from a small town in Northern Ireland. My blog turns 1 on 30/04/16 and I’m already so excited for what my next year of blogging holds! Today I’m going to be talking about my favourite spring nail colours. Now that the sun has came out, it’s much nicer to have more colourful or pastel nails that will tend to match more with the makeup you may be wearing.

(Products L-R – Ciaté Polish in Cha, Cha Cha, Avon The Gel Polish in Sheer Love, Tanya Burr Cosmetics Polish in Mini-Marshmallows, Essence the Gel Polish in Play with my Mint, China Glaze Nail Polish in Champagne Bubbles and Polish Limited Polish in Neon Pink.)

Each pictured nail has two coats of the colour on it.

Ciaté Mini Polish

This came free in a magazine last year and I fell in love with it instantly. It has a really solid colour after two coats and the actual polish lasts for around 4 – 7days before it begins to chip. It’s one of my favourite shades as it can really go with anything.

Avon the Gel Polish

Avon has had their Gel effect polishes out for a while now and I really love them. This one is such a light colour that it would be lovely as part of a French polish look.  I usually team this up with some glitter for a sparkly look or a part look. The Gel nail polish range usually last on my nails for just over a week, before they start to chip really badly. It’s became my go-to colour when I’m looking for a very soft nail colour.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Nail Polish

I’ve been a huge fan of Tanya for a while now so when she released her own cosmetics line the nail polishes were the first few things I got. My only complaint is that it can take a few layers of this to build up to the colour I want. I only applied two on my sample nail but usually will go with three of this to make it more of a solid colour. Other than that all of the polishes are beautiful and staples in my nail varnish box! This is another soft colour, which I tend to team with glitter or use as a base for when I want to do designs on my nails.

Essence Cosmetics The Gel Polish

Essence Cosmetics have been a huge favourite of mine for a while now. Most of my followers know by now that I am obsessed with getting a good deal and all of Essence’s products are an amazing deal! Their “The Gel” polishes are pretty amazing; you buy the base coat, top coat and any polish from the gel range and just apply in the order base coat, colour, and then the top coat. After this you have gel like nails without the lamp or high price tag! If you use the full gel set instructions, it will last nearly two weeks, however without it lasts about 8-10 days.

China Glaze

China Glaze is my favourite up-market nail brand. I adore the colour range and the style of the polishes. I’ve had this one for nearly two years (possibly more!) so it’s nearly time to retire it. The colours always last a brilliant amount of time and they always look lovely until you remove them.

Polish Limited

I was gifted this polish, and I believe it came from Marks and Spencer? I used this with a glitter top coat once and it lasted for over a week before it started to chip. I’ve only used it on its own once and it lasted for just about a week. The colour is super vibrant, so you’ve no chance of missing it. I feel once you’re reaching the end of spring and nearly into Summer this will be the perfect colour for a beach nail look!

What colours do you love using in Spring? Do you follow any nail trends or do you keep to your own style?  Let me know in the comments section!
