As part of our trip to visit family for Christmas, we thought we would take a slight detour and spend the night in Birmingham. Bournville to be exact. Because nothing says ‘Merry Christmas’ like more chocolate…
We then took a little trip to Cadbury World. I haven’t been there for about six years, so we’ve obviously never taken the children. We thought it would just be a fun little trip out. It doesn’t take ages to go around, but at just over £15 per adult we didn’t think it was that bad. Parking is free, always a plus! We booked ahead of time and I’m glad we did – when we arrived it said that the day had been sold out. Booking ahead of time is a must I think!
There are lots of child-friendly attractions and things to do, including a 4D chocolate experience and a tour with lots of buttons to press! Of course there is a lot of chocolate to taste too 😉 the air just smells of chocolate as soon as you park – it is pretty immense. The kids each got a little scratch card quiz to follow as we went round. Chloe didn’t have a clue but Max loved looking forr something in each section and finding the answers together.
We had a great time and think it is really suited for younger children. I think teenagers may get a little bored by it though. Here are some pictures and little vlog of our time away.
Have you ever been? What did you think to it?

I’ve never been, always wanted to. Might have to try in the summer holidays next year. Looks fun!
