Our Week in Floors… | #FloorSelfies

I have been set the task by the lovely people at Luxury Flooring to document my week through #FloorSelfies. I thought that it would be a fun challenge to be involved in. It certainly got me thinking about the floors I was walking on and what I was going to be up to this past week. Some were with the kids and I, some were just the things I have been doing. So scroll through and see what we have been up to, and the floors we have been walking on!

Saturday was a lovely bright and sunny day. We went over to Kent for the afternoon (as I had been working the night shift that night previous). We went to Bewl Water and had a walk around the area, as well as taking a little trip out on a boat. There were several options for floors here, of course. I thought this stone one was rather pretty looking, though.

Sunday

Sunday started out pretty miserable in terms of the weather. But it soon cheered up and turned into a lovely afternoon. We spent the majority of the day at home and out in the garden. So this ‘selfie’ is of the boy out on the grass. Sums up the afternoon quite well I think!

Monday

Monday is always my chore and sorting out day. I like to avoid doing housework at the weekend as much as possible. So it means a morning of housework after the school drop off, along with a supermarket shop. Oh the joy of a Monday! So this is the supermarket floor…(in need of a bit of a clean I think).

Tuesday

After school on a Tuesday means swimming lessons. So Max thought it would be fun to take a picture of the floor in the changing rooms, just before he head’s out to swim. Quite impressed that this selfie was taken by a four year old!

Wednesday

Wednesday was an at home to day to sort out a few bits and get some work done. I spent the morning doing work and then the afternoon experimenting in the kitchen. I made a sugar-free pecan pie, as well as a couple of dinners, ready to be frozen and defrosted when we need them. I find it quite therapeutic to be in the kitchen, as crazy as that sounds. These are the tiles in my kitchen (and yes, I probably need to get some slippers) haha.

Thursday

Thursday means another after school activity, this time for tennis. So this is the floor of the sports centre where Max has his tennis lessons. As he is still in the first level class, the parents get involved, hence the trainers!

Bit of a fuzzy #floorselfie here, but on the school run in the morning. I think autumn is well and truly here! Loving the colours of the leaves here.

What have you been up to this week? I think I need to hang out in more places with prettier floors – mosaic tiles anyone?!
