Any rugby fans in the house? We are pretty big Rugby fans so are rather excited for the upcoming Rugby World Cup! The hubs and his friends all tend to slightly prefer rugby to football so the matches are a big event in our house, with people round and lots of good food. How great that this World Cup is being hosted over here too? Lets get some of that London Olympic-style patriotism going! (Not that I need an excuse, I am already rather patriotic).
How can our little ones be involved though? I have heard about a great project with Allianz & Saracens RFC, to get families involved and get in the spirit of the world cup (and in my opinion, get excited about supporting England, of course! 😉 The idea, Pass Around the Word, is to get together as many video clips of families of all ages, doing a Rubgy pass and then upload it to their website and see just how ‘far’ we can get a rugby ball.
It is such a fun thing to be involved in and a great way to educate our children at the same time – why not film your pass, then play a little bit of touch rugby and talk about the countries that are going to be involved in the world cup?
If you do decide to give it a try (see what I did there), when you have uploaded, you will also be in with the chance of winning great prizes from £150 Ticketmaster voucher to signed Rugby balls and even the chance to have lunch with the Saracens and attend a training session with them!
Where in the world will your pass go?
