Personalised Ideas for Mother’s Day | ASDA Photo

Mother’s Day in the UK is coming up soon, on the 22nd March, to be precise. Something that I had only just cottoned onto a few years ago is that in the UK, it is always three weeks before Easter Sunday, harking back to a hundred years ago or so when the servants were allowed home before Easter, and it became Mothering Sunday. So it is easy to remember, if you are someone who celebrates it.

It is something that I know can be a tricky day for some, with hard relationships with parents or an estranged mother, for example. Which is why I think these gifts from ASDA Photo will suit all, simply because they’re not ‘just’ for women or mums, but could work for something for your friend, partner, dad, as well as mum or grandma, whatever your set up is. So I’ll tell you a little but more about them – it would be great to hear what you think.

Slate Photo Panel – from £14

I have never seen anything like this before, so think for that reason alone, I think that a slate photo panel makes for a great gift. Getting any photo that you like (rectangular or square shape) printed onto a real piece of slate is an amazing idea, and makes for a great addition for a desk or shelf. As it is slate, it is heavy, which shows to me the quality of it. The photo print looks great and it isn’t just a sticker stuck on and peeling at the edges, it looks like it will last and last.

For a loved one in your life this Mother’s Day, I think this could work well. It is a good price for what you get, will fit most budgets, and you can really personalise it to make it a photo that will mean a lot to them.

Photo Book – from £12

I think that a photo book makes another great gift, simply because it is something that someone is unlikely to just go ahead and order for themselves. You can upload your own photos at the ASDA Photo website, and choose the look and layout that way. However, you can connect it to your social channels, just like I did. Then I could print out my Instagram photos, as that means that those photos are now not just on my phone or online.

The quality of the photo book is great, and the photos printed out really well, not blurred and so on. I have been every impressed with ASDA Photo, and would definitely use them again. Their website is easy to use, and the uploading of the photos is really simple and straightforward. The value for money is great too, which is something that you’d come to expect with ASDA. I’d recommend ahead of Mother’s Day.

Have you got plans for Mother’s Day yet? It would be great to hear what you think.
