Pizza Making Party at Pizza Express | #AD

I don’t know about you, but I often find that I always have a lack of creative ideas when it comes to hanging out with friends. It always ends up being a meal out, the cinema, or just having a few drinks (mocktails in my case). But it can just get a little bit monotonous, right? So looking for new things to do on dates, double dates, or with your gal pals, is always a good thing. So introducing, pizza making parties at Pizza Express…

A few bloggers and I were invited to try our hand at making pizza at Pizza Express. The newly refurbished restaurant in Westfield London was the venue, so I hoped on the train to Pizza Express White City. Perhaps a pizza making party could be the next thing for my friends and I to try?

To start with, I’ve got to talk about the venue – the restaurant was really lovely! Recently redecorated with a nod to an Olympic theme, it was really stylish. Loved all of the filament bulbs around the place, and it was all set up ready for us to party. I really liked that we had our own space to make the pizzas in the restaurant, without having to disturb the regular diners.

The next thing to talk about has to be the staff at the restaurant. We had two team members to look after us; our dedicated party host Gosha, to supply us with plenty to drink and eat, as well as Daniel taking the lead when it comes to teaching us how to make our pizzas from scratch using the dough. They honestly were both brilliant.

But on to the party – was it worth it?

I honestly wasn’t too sure what expect of a pizza making party for adults, but it was genuinely really fun! I learned that making my own pizza from scratch is easier than I thought for one thing. We tried different flavours and enjoyed some really good company. I was already a fan of Pizza Express, but this has reconfirmed that to me. I would definitely take part in a pizza making party at pizza express again – it was fun to do something a little different and enjoy some good food while you’re at it.

Do you think you’d ever want to try this kind of thing? The pizza making parties cost £21.95 per guest (up to eight guests), and lasts for 2.5 hours. For what you get included (pizza, dough balls, dessert, and drinks), you’d probably spend that anyway. So make it more enjoyable and learn to make the pizzas with your friends? I would genuinely recommend it!
