Planning a Family Holiday?

With summer just around the corner it’s time to organise your holiday! Vacation can be terribly expensive so planning to suit your family’s needs, as well as budgeting, can really help you save your pennies and occupy your time effectively.

First, ask yourself what your priorities are. Will you travel abroad or stay closer to home? Do you go all inclusive or hire a self catering villa? Book flights or pack up the campervan? Exotic adventure or countryside staycation? City break or camping? It’s all very exciting, but when you’re travelling as a family, there’s even more to consider.

The top priority for parents is knowing that their children will be safe and comfortable among the fun. Parents also like to maintain an element of routine; no one can enjoy a holiday if they’re feeling run down and over tired. Ensuring your kids get enough shut eye will make for a happy, relaxing holiday. One idea is to drive to your destination of choice through the night and let the kids sleep in the car.

More and more families are opting for the staycation, and why not? Sometimes we overlook the greatness that’s available in our own country. A staycation allows for you and your family to have an enjoyable adventure that takes very little planning, packing, or even thought! You won’t need to stress with crying babies in airports, or worry about the buggy getting lost at baggage claim. In our busy lives, it’s often hard to be spontaneous, but a staycation allows you to do just that. You’ll also end up saving money – whether it’s bikes, skis or surfboards, by taking lots with you, you won’t need to hire equipment when you arrive at your destination.

So, what’s the best and most stress free way to holiday? The campervan. A luxury that will allow you decades of holidays in a variety of destinations. Just think of the convenience – a campervan or motorhome will provide just as many facilities as a good hotel, sometimes more. Most have a cooker, fridge, shower, sofa and dining table as well as comfortable beds.

It actually works out as quite a cost effective investment because you’ll have years and years of avoiding extortionate hotel prices. It’s important to take care of your camper van though; Caravan covers do a great job of protecting your precious investment from the elements, keeping it in tip top condition.

Whether you decide to explore your own country or tour europe, there’s a reassurance that comes with knowing you’re not limited when it comes to taking the essentials a family might need. If you’re desperate for a unique kind of holiday and tired of the same old package deals, perhaps it’s time you dipped your toes in the world of campervans and motorhomes.
