Review: Love Yourself Low-Carb Meal Delivery

When it comes to eating well, I think many people are like me. It can be much easier to eat well and stick to a certain kind of meal plan when there is no thinking involved. I know for myself, if I am told what to eat or know what to have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, then it makes it much easier to stick to. If I have to create my own calorie- controlled meals it can take a while to research, plan, and buy the ingredients. Having it delivered right to your door makes it even easier as there is no thinking whatsoever. All I have to think about is putting it all on a plate, which is what the Love Yourself premium food delivery subscription, available all across the UK, is all about.

Why choose low-carb?

Everyone is different and there is no magic diet that is going to suit everyone. I’ve heard a phrase lately that if we all ate the same and exercised the same, all of our bodies would still look different; this is so true. With a diet that is ow-carb, it can have a range of health benefits, from anything to weight loss to helping to prevent chronic diseases. With the Love Yourself low-carb meal plan it could help you with weight loss, as well as help with improving general health. It is also a way to eat that is sustainable in the long term, which is what you want for prolonged good health.

PCOS is a disease that I suffer from, and as it is a hormone disorder, it is related with abnormal glucose and hormone metabolism. Weight gain is a big factor in PCOS and it can be hard to lose weight as a result. Studies have shown, though, that following a diet that is low-carb can manage insulin sensitivity and so as a result, it is a good natural way to live with PCOS and help to lose weight.

Low-carb meals delivered to your door

What I thought was really good about the Love Yourself diet meal delivery is that you get it right to your door each night, ready for the next day. The meals are fresh, rather than some meal plans where you getting a month’s lot all at once, without needing to be chilled. This really appeals to me and makes it preferable over others that I have tried in the past.

I really liked the range of meals that are available too. Not only are there low-carb, but there are options for different diets and requirements, such as vegan. The meals that you get are varied too, which again, was really appealing. You can choose how many calories you want to have each day too, so it can suit people just wanting to get meals delivered and ready to eat of a certain type, those looking to bulk up by choosing the 2500 calories option, or those looking to lose weight with the 1200 or 1500 calorie options.

The meals

As you can see, the meals themselves were really varied. There was porridge for breakfast one morning, with a vegetable omelette type of thing the next. There were snacks, such as the strawberries and cream, as well as tasty and fresh lunches like a rice-less poké bowl and a stew with delicious carrot mash.

I will be honest, there were some meals that in their box, looked quite unappealing. But once heated through and ready to serve on a plate or bowl, looked much more appealing. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, so they say, so really, it does come down to taste and I loved everything that I tried! The meals were tasty and full of natural and fresh ingredients. It was such a nice change to try some new meals too, as I can get stuck in a bit of a rut with what we eat.

I tried out two days’ worth of meals, so really, it is hard to tell the true results of eating this way after two days. I will say however, that the meals tasted good and I was impressed by the quality, so if you are interested in giving it a go, I think you’ll be pleased. You can get 20% off your first order lasting five days, and then 10% off afterwards (costing £121.50). You can adjust the length of time from one day’s worth of food to getting them delivered for eight weeks!

Delivery is included in the prices, but it isn’t exactly cheap at around £15 a day. However, if you can afford it, I do think it is a good way to be aware of what you are eating and kick-start your weight loss or being healthier, whether you choose low-carb or not.

Have you heard of Love Yourself meals before? It would be great to hear what you think.
