I don’t know if it is just me, but I for one am ready for autumn. Summer has been unseasonably hot and humid, and with it lasting for much longer than usual, it has been really unpleasant for me, to be honest. With a baby that doesn’t sleep well in the heat it has been the death knell for me. I am looking forward to cosy evenings, scarves, cardigans, boots, and socks, as well as all of the normal seasonal festivities that comes at autumn time.
One thing that I like to do at this time of year is to decorate the home, where I can. Some seasonal throws in the living room, an autumnal wreath on the door, and scented candles. I honestly can’t get enough of scented candles, at any time of the year, but there is something extra cosy and warm about candles lit on a dark and cool evening. And heck, who knows, we might have to live by candlelight in the evenings this autumn and winter, the way that electricity bills are going!
I can’t believe that I hadn’t heard of Party Lite before now! They have an amazing range of scented candles, melts, essential oils, diffusers, and so on. From tea lights to three-wick candles, there is something for everyone and for every budget. I love a fruity scent for candles, so was so pleased to receive the raspberry and rhubarb three-wick jar candle.
Raspberry & Rhubarb Candle Jar
The candle is originally priced at £24.99, but currently half-price, which I think is really good value for money. It is a big candle, with a burn time of up to 45 hours, which is amazing value; full price or not. It is on par with competitor pricing too.
The candle itself is has a clean burn, so there aren’t lots of black smoke that there can be with some kinds of scented candles that I have used before. The wax is non-toxic, and infused with a really stunning Raspberry and Rhubarb fragrance. I’m not going to lie, it is one of the best smelling candles I’ve ever had! Though it is quite strong, so beat to use in a larger space like a living room, rather than a bedroom. The smell is fruity and sweet, blending the berries and tart rhubarb together. There is also a hint of almond too, as well as mandarin; all adds to the fruit and sweet scent. I think the candle design looks really good, and the metal lid looks good for when the candle isn’t in use.
I don’t think that you can go too far wrong with getting a candle for yourself to have at home, but Party Lite have such a good range to choose from that there will be something for everyone. For that reason I think it is an ideal place to look for a gift. There are gift sets that you can buy, but a three-wick candle makes for a great gift if you ask me (hint, hint, anyone).
I’m so pleased with the candle and glad that I have finally discovered Party Lite. It will definitely be a go-to for me for gifts this Christmas.
