Review: Playmobil Advent Calendar

If you are someone that doesn’t want to hear about the C word yet, then look away now!

Christmas, of course!

Now that October is in full swing, I for one think we can definitely talk about it. I have two December birthdays to plan for now, alongside Christmas, so I need to get organised! I am normally pretty organised but I am not as organised this year, having only sorted a couple of gifts so far. However, there are a lot of good deals on at the moment, so it is a good time to get ready. I like to do as much as I can in October and November so that I can relax (as much as is possible) in December.

Playmobil Advent Calendar

I love a good advent calendar! December 1st is a birthday in our house, so it is always nice to have a special calendar for the birthday boy and his siblings to open as well. I loved having an advent calendar in the run up to Christmas when I was younger. That being said, they were never as fancy as the ones that you can get now. I loved having something to open each morning and was always disciplined enough that I only opened one a day. Having something to open just adds to the whole excitement of Christmas.

These advent calendars from Playmobil are great, and are really affordable compared to some others that are out there. The Lego ones have jumped up massively in price this year, so it is nice to see these still at the price that I would expect to pay for this kind of advent calendar. I think that you get a lot of value for your money too – they come with a lot of different toys and accessories, all with the quality that you would expect from Playmobil.

The Christmas Baking advent calendar is no exception to the quality and value that you know you get from Playmobil. As well as the figurines and the festive scene you can create each day, you also get real-size cookie cutters to have a go at your own festive baking, which I think is a really fun touch. I haven’t seen anything like this out there.

Christmas Baking Advent Calendar – £24.99

I really like the size of the advent calendar. It isn’t small and the Playmobil figures are full size. The compartments for each day are easy to open and for little hands to reach into. Each of the designs look really striking, with great colours and designs.

My daughter has been really pleased with her advent calendars, and it would be great to see what the full sets look like by the time Christmas rolls around. They are a really fun choice to have for the run up to Christmas because the figures are full size and good quality, I do think that you get good value for money. They will last and last and can be used for years and years to come.

I am also really pleased with the calendars, so I do think that if you are looking for a toy advent calendar this year, then you don’t need to look any further than Playmobil. With different styles to choose from and for different age ranges, there are a number of choices for little ones.

Have you made a start with Christmas yet? What do you think of this advent calendar? It would be great to hear what you think.
