Review: Regenecoll Collagen

Collagen is one of the proteins in the body that is most abundant. It is found in a variety of places, from bones, skin, muscles, and tendons. It is something that we all have, but once we hit the age of 25, our bodies start to break down more collagen that we have, compared to what we produce. The result of this is that there is a loss of tone in the skin, as well as elasticity (hello wrinkles and fine lines).

In fact, once you hit the age of 45, around a third of the collagen in your body is gone. So if you want to help to avoid that, then taking collagen supplements is a must.

Collagen helps your hair, nails, skin, muscles, and it can also improve your general well being. I have seen collage supplements in tablet form before, but never in a water-soluble form. That is where Regencoll comes in.

Easy to add into your everyday life

Regenecoll have range of marine collagen sachets, that are water-soluble, so that they can be stirred into a glass of water, cup of coffee, or even in something you eat like a bowl of soup or in a curry sauce. I think that this is brilliant, as it means that you can easily add this supplement into your diet. If you forget to have it with your breakfast smoothie, you can add it into your evening meal; really cool feature.

The packs that I have been trying come with collagen, but also other options like malted milk and daily detox. These can be put together to make a hot chocolate drink, with the added benefit of collagen, or added into a green smoothie. With recipe cards to follow, this was really simple, straightforward, and easy to use. Having something like a hot chocolate or a green smoothie is something that many of us have each day, so having a simple sachet to add in, which will give more nutritional content to the drink, is a bonus. Even better when it helps to restore the collagen in your body.

No fishy taste from marine collagen

I have been so impressed with the range. With it being marine collagen, I wondered if it would be quite fishy in taste, but it wasn’t the case at all; I didn’t fancy drinking fishy tasting water. It is really simple to mix into drinks, and I like that it makes it effortless to improve the collagen in your body. Another point to note is that the marine collagen is sourced sustainably, which is really positive. I have definitely seen the difference in in my skin looking clearer and plumper, as well as an improvement in my hair (it normally breaks super easily).

There are different ranges and programmes to choose, depending how long you want the programme to take, all varying in price. Regenecoll generally recommend an 8-week program, as that can help to restore a huge amount of collagen in your body. If you are concerned about your hair or skin, as well as muscles, and you’re a similar age to me, then having a collagen supplement is a must.

Have you ever considered collagen supplements before? It would be great to hear what you think.
