To start with, I will just state that this is not an advert in anyway. I saw Wild natural deodorant advertised on social media with a discount code (#influenced) and thought I would give it a try. I have really been happy with it, and have been using for over six months now, so thought I would share my opinion…
I have been making some small changes over the years to make more sustainable choices on everyday things. From switching to an 80% vegan diet (veggie the rest), choosing reusable water bottles, ditching cling film, and using goBambu bamboo toothbrushes, I have felt like I was doing my bit.
Something like deodorant didn’t really cross my mind until I saw a more suitable option. The amount of plastic that a regular bottle of deodorant uses, as well as them being an aerosol, and not made naturally, definitely meant that it was time for a switch.

Natural and sustainable
For starters, I really like that the Wild deodorant is sustainable. There is no plastic whatsoever, with a reusable container for your deodorant (available in various colours, no less). The refills that go into the container are made from compostable and plastic-free material, which is really appealing if you’re looking to reduce your household waste, as well as how much plastic your home consumes.
The deodorant is made from natural products, and the formula is aluminium free. Again, these kinds of things aren’t something I have really thought about, however, aluminium can be related to things like breast cancer in some people, which can start in the armpit, so avoiding is a must. The refills come in a variety of scents, and all of the ones that I have tried so far have smelt so good! The smell isn’t overpowering, though. Just naturally pleasant.
Delivered to your door
It all started in the first lockdown, where things were delivered to me, and this was no different. It is so handy to have the choice to have something delivered right to you, and again, this was in plastic-free packaging. I ordered a container and two refills to start with, but have since ordered more refills, all getting delivered to the door.

How effective is a natural deodorant?
I have tried another natural deodorant before, which is essentially a block of salt. I have someone close to be who swears by it, but I just couldn’t get on board with it. You have to wet your armpits before use, and as there is no scent, I just didn’t like it. So I was interested to see how Wild would be.
Wild is made from a 100% effective formula. I have been so pleased with it, as there have been no problems with it at all; no white marks on clothing, and no sneaky BO smells on hot days, which happened from time to time with other deodorants. It is easy to use, smells good, and has stood the test of enduring one of the UK’s hottest summers.
I have found that you hardly need to use any on each armpit either. You just need to lightly wipe under on your armpit, and there will be enough to last for 24 hours. So you don’t need to be buying refills all of the time (for me, one refill lasts nearly two months). So when you think about it that way, you do get value for money.
I can honestly recommend this, as this is a completely unbiased review. If you want to give it a try, then there are a number of influencers out there with discount codes, to get 10% or 20% off, so if you want to try, then getting some money off is a good idea.
Do you think you’ll give a natural deodorant a try? It would be great to hear what you think.

*this is NOT an ad in anyway – I have paid for this myself, but as I have really seen the benefit, I thought I would share my opinion and experience with you all.
Wow! It’s amazing to have a natural deodorant that actually smells good and not just plain. I can’t wait to try it. It would feel great to use a deodorant that’s safe enough to ‘eat’.
And you’ve really inspired me with the organic choices that you’re making everyday. It’s healthier for you and the planet.
