Now that it is December, we can officially start talking Christmas, right? I mean, I have been for a few weeks now, with a cheeky gift guide here and there. But it is totally allowed now, isn’t it? Haha. Have you done much shopping for gifts yet?
A lot of bloggers and around workplaces, people tend to take part in a Secret Santa get swap. I’ll be honest, though, I find it one of the hardest things to buy for. The budget is lower than you would spend on other gifts as a rule. But I’m all for no tat (think I have been stung in the past with an X-Factor echo microphone as my secret santa gift, after getting my recipient something really thoughtful. Cheers pal). Regardless of what I spend, I want the recipient to actually make use of what I get them. Which is why I look to somewhere like The Body Shop. We all shower and bath don’t we? So they do make a great gift and I know they will make use of them.
Showered with Love Gift Set – £15
I think that this ‘showered with love’ gift set is really cute. It comes with a cactus body brush, along with three 60ml shower creams; mango, strawberry and shea.
The body brush is really solid and well made. I like to use one of these to exfoliate in the shower as it is much more effective than a sponge. The bristles are firm and do just the job, especially for on my back where it is trickier to reach. The brush is normally £10 by itself, so it is a bit of a bargain getting it for £15, along with three shower creams.
As for the shower creams, they are practically edible! I mean, don’t eat them, ha, but they smell good enough too. I love The Body Shop for their scents and the quality of their products. So these are no exception. They leave my skin (and bathroom) smelling fab.
Best of Body Butter Dome – £30
I am a massive fan of The Body Shop Body Butters. So this festive dome filled with five body butters is a dream. I like that you get five of them in there (50ml) as when I am in store, I do find it hard to choose! As I have said with the shower creams, I am sold on how things smell. These body butters are all amazing. Sometimes I think about coconut for example, and generally it can be quite a weak scent. But they are all strong but not overpowering.
The body butters the dome comes with are:
- Strawberry
- Fuji Green Tea
- Coconut
- Shea
- British Rose
But forget the smell, you probably want to know what it is like on your skin? It is thick, which I like, and really easy to apply. It absorbs well into skin and didn’t leave mine feeling greasy at all. Just soft and scented. If you are buying for someone that likes to take care of their skin, then I’d recommend this as a gift for sure.
If £30 is over your secret santa budget, then you can get body butter baubles for £8. They come with one of these sized body butters, as well as a lip butter. Plus they come in a cute hanging decoration, perfect for the tree. They would be great as a stocking filler too.
This post has been featured over in The Body Shop online advent calendar. So make sure you head over on the run up to Christmas, for more reviews and ideas from other bloggers.
Are you taking part in a Secret Santa this year? Do you think that these gifts might work? I’d love to know what you think!

I absolutely adore the body butter. They’re some of the best out there, I think. I’m currently making my way through my 50th tub of the Shea butter x

Ooo these are some great gifts! It’s always good to know of secret santa present ideas. Although our budget is £5 this year and you can’t get much for that!
I actually am just doing one secret santa this year, its a guy though so not sure he’d like anything from the BS, but I have got some sticking filler bits to get so these would be perfect for that!
These look lovely and would make perfect Secret Santa gifts x
