Shake That Weight | First Impressions

If you’re looking for a way to lose some weight, then there are so many options that it can be difficult to know what to choose. Do you go down the calorie counting route, controlling portion size, go plant based, or completely cut out certain food groups? I’ll be honest, I have tried a number of these in my time. All do seem to work for a certain amount of time, but not all can be sustained. Plus, you might only want to lose a little amount of weight for a specific time, rather than go on a full diet for weeks on end.

I have been asked to review a two week trial of Shake That Weight, to see if it can help me lose any weight, using the range of shakes, meal replacement bars, and meals. I am no stranger to this kind of diet, but to be honest, a lot of ones I have tried before have been shakes only, and have left me feeling quite hungry. Three or four shakes a day is not too much to eat and can leave you feeling hungry. Having said that, they do help you to lose weight, but of course, it would, you’re having very few calories!

I like that Shake That Weight have a wide range of choice for your meals, and there is flexibility in what you can choose. After putting in my details, it was recommend that I have three products a day, and then a 400 calorie evening meal. The thought of having ‘normal’ food in the evening will be enough to get me through the day, I think. The choice of bars and shakes are good, though. So if you wanted to have porridge for breakfast, noodles for lunch, and a chocolate bar as a snack, you totally could; you can choose the products and you don’t have to have shakes if you don’t want to. This is really appealing and will open it out to a wider audience too.

The favours of shakes I chose are:

  • banana
  • caramel
  • chocolate
  • mint chocolate
  • strawberry

I also chose bars to have as a snack, which is great when you need a fix of something sweet. They have a lemon yoghurt bar, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, maple and almond.

Have you ever heard of Shake That Weight? Would love to hear what you think. I think that these kind of diet plans are good to have a refresh as they are low calorie and really do make me more conscious of what I am snacking on. I like that they are quick and easy to prepare too, taking seconds to make a shake or only a couple of minutes in the microwave for something like porridge. When I have to be preparing meals for my family, something that is quick and easy is going to make it much easier for me to stick to, rather than having to prepare two separate meals; one for me and one for them.

Check back in two weeks to see how much weight I have been able to lose in two weeks! 🙂

Rebecca x*thanks to Shake That Weight for the products. All opinions are my own.
