Smashers Epic Dino Egg | Toy Review

With the school holidays just around the corner for us, or already happening for some of you, it can be a really good time for quality time together. There is quite a bit of time to fill, though, so although days out and holidays are great, sometimes some time at home can be just what you need. And if there is a new toy involved that can take a while to discover and play with, then it has to be a good thing, right?

Well, with that in mind, here is introducing the Smashers Epic Dino Egg which can be a great purchase for the summer holidays, and the Global Launch is today, 12th July.

The size of it is pretty impressive to start with, so there was plenty excitement with my kids around that, and then it is full to the brim of fun things to play with and discover, making an egg-splosion of larger-than-life play! There are over 25 surprises in each of the epic eggs, which is amazing (one to two for each day could make this last and last). There are things like slime, water fizzer, and eggs to smash your way through, with hidden dinosaur pieces that can be found and put together to build the exclusive Smash-o-saur Dino. So there is a little bit of archaeological fun thrown in there too; a great idea for dinosaur lovers.

You can use the Scratch Map to excavate the Dino Egg to unearth the different things that have the bones in. Not only can you find the bones to build the Smash-o-saurs, there are plenty of other things inside the Epic Dino Egg, like Smash Eggs, a Smash Egg rebuilder and digging tools, so they can smash them, build them up, and then smash again; hours of fun in the summer, especially with friends and siblings. There are different characters to find in the Smash Eggs, with some Ultra Rare characters to be found. My two like to tick off which ones they have on the little list that comes with them, so if your children like little collectibles, then this is a really good idea. As well as the collectors sheet, you can also download the Smashers app, which allows you to interact with your collection and earn Smash Points to become the ultimate Smashers champion! So something for a variety of ages here, to enjoy over summer.

My children, especially my older son, has really enjoyed playing with the Epic Dino Egg, and discovering the bones that are hidden in the slime, sand, and putty, as well as smashing the eggs, of course. There are a lot of things to do, so for the summer holidays, I think that it is definitely something worth getting; you get value for money as there is so much to it.

I like that the eggs can be rebuilt, rather than just being junk plastic, so that is a plus for me. The quality of the eggs is high, though; I would purchase them again, for sure (as well as for gifts for others. The gift that keeps on giving).
