I posted a couple of weeks ago about some home trends to look out for this year, as well as all that you might see at Spring Fair. There are lots of things that I am looking forward to seeing, so just thought I’d share with you what I plan on seeing when I go.
Did you register for tickets for Spring Fair? They are completely FREE if you want to attend, so it is worth going if you lice close enough by. Spring Fair is on this coming Sunday, 5th February at the NEC in Birmingham, and goes on until 9th February. I am going on the Monday, as it works well with childcare for me. It will be nice to have a day out, talk to potential collaborators and see some what will be the trends for home and gifting this coming year. Here are a few of the things i have spotted on the timetable that I’m interested in.
Best Practice For Selling on eBay – 11.30 – 12.00
I like the look of this workshop, for personal and business use. I used to sell a lot on eBay but haven’t done for a while. So it would be good to have a bit of a refresh on the best things to do. You want that good feedback after all!
You may have noticed that I now have a ‘shop’ section on the blog that, at the moment, is coming soon. eBay is another platform to sell things on if I can just get my head around it all. So good to have a few options, should all things with the shop go well.
How To Use Pinterest as a Small Business – 12.10 – 12.40
When people ask what I do for a living, I always just call myself a blogger. I mean, its not exactly a lie, but I often forget that my blog is actually a business. It just seems like a bit of a jump. But having just completed a tax return and paid my taxes for my self-employment, I do need to think of
this as a business more. I can’t be the only one that thinks its hard to do that, though? Little old me. So I would love to learn more about how to make the most of Pinterest. It is the social platform that I have neglected the most, so it should be really interesting.
Keynote Speech – 13.10 – 13.40
Mary Portas is the keynote speaker on the day that I am going (Karen Brady is the keynote on the Tuesday). I have watched all of Mary’s programmes and think she’s brilliant. Straight talking and knows what she is on about. Should be really interesting.
An Audience with Roger Saul: Founder of Mulberry – 16.10 – 16.40
Though I am not based in fashion and won’t be running anything fashion related, I thought that it would be really interesting to sit and listen to Roger. Someone with that much success in business will know what they are on about. I hope it will be really inspiring.
Other ongoing workshops in the afternoon that I like the look of, are SEO for business and a Social Media Health Check. They would work well for other bloggers, as well as small businesses. Really looking forward to it them – having just had a blog redesign, I want to step up my blog game more.
If you want to register for free tickets to one of the days, you can apply here.
