Writing this over the weekend led me into a false sense of spring. Last week is was really lush, but now this weekend it hasn’t been the most spring-like weather. But I still hold out hope that we will actually get to see some more sings of spring sometime soon. And with the children being off for the Easter break, it has been a good time to get sorting through some bits at home, as well as in the garden, as we haven’t had specific deadlines or things to be rushing off to do.
They say you have an affinity with the season that you’re born in. And with my birthday coming up this week, I must say that I do love spring (when the sun is shining at least). It gives me a good chance to go through the garden after neglecting it over the winter, and get things looking good again. A few new bits from Red Candy have been helping me to get into the feeling of spring, especially as they have the versatility to be used indoors and outdoors, depending on the style of the home and what space is available.
Skittle Small Hanging Plant Pot – £8.99
These Scandinavian style hanging pots (that I just totally fell in love with) are held up with by three leather cords, but could be used as pots on a shelf or windowsill if you didn’t attach the cords. I do like the hanging look and I have been using the two smaller skittles outside as a modern day hanging basket. It could look good on a balcony, by a window, or on the patio too, depending on what space that you have.
The design is great though and works to add some greenery into the home where space is at a premium. I think that they would also look good in the kitchen, the hall, on the patio or even on the stairwell. It would look good with pot plants, flowers, and succulents alike. They are sturdy, practical, well made, and come in a few other colours. So there is likely to be something that suits the style you’re after.
Skittle Large Hanging Plant Pot – £14.50
Red Candy is genuinely one of my go-tp stores for gifts, as there are some many cute and quirky things. They are often the type of thing that you might not think to buy for yourself, but they are fab if you want to treat yourself, are looking for something a little different, or are buying a gift for someone. The whole range is really lovely, and I have been impressed with the quality of all of the items that I have had from there before. Their spring collection is really gorge.
Here are a few other things from their new spring collection:
Copper Desktop Organiser – £47 // Wall Clock – £53.99 // Tea Set – £27 // Llama Egg Cup – £8.50 // Fox LED Lamp – £10.99 // Blue Plant Pot – £11.99

We are currently renovating both bathrooms and our garden too! It’s all a little dusty and manic in our house right now but it will all be worth it in the end I’m sure!
