Top Five Spring Lip Colours | Guest Post from Sam at Made from Beauty

Continuing my guest posts while I’m away is Sam from Made From Beauty, sharing her top five spring lip colours. Sam is a beauty and lifestyle blogger from Southampton, England. She has been blogging for just over a year, so her blog is still a young’un.

After graduating with a degree in creative writing, Sam wanted to create a place to flex her writing muscles and chat about all things beauty and style. Made From Beauty gives readers a five-times-weekly dose of beauty and lifestyle articles, featuring makeup trends, tutorials and reviews. Sam believes beauty should be something accessible to every woman, so she never focus on the ‘don’t’s’ or ‘fails’, but focuses on giving everyone the confidence to explore new products and looks.

Over to Sam…

I love to change up my makeup for Spring and one of the easiest ways to do this is to dig out those pretty lip colours to give your makeup a fresh new look. So in this post I wanted to share my top five Spring lip colours that I know will be on rotation in my makeup bag this season…

  • The Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Bloom Meringue

Lancome

One of my favourites, and one I’ve already been reaching for an awful lot this season is the newly released Lancôme Juicy Shaker in Bloom Meringue. This oil based gloss is almost transparent, but gives just a wash of cool toned pink to give a natural wash of nude colour and an ultra glossy finish. The cute cocktail shaker-esque packaging isn’t the only reason to pick one of these up; with surprising lasting power and an ability to make lips look plump and hydrated throughout the day, you can see why the beauty world is abuzz with these right now.

  • The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in Sunset Romance

The Body Shop

From new favourites to old; these Body Shop Colour Crush lipsticks come in a whole host of beautiful colours perfect for Spring but my favourite has to be the shade Sunset Romance, a gorgeous pink coral. These lipsticks are exactly what I reach for as soon as the weather starts to warm up, they are bright yet sheer and super glossy. I love the watermelon sweet scent, the way they glide on to the lips and their moisturising finish.

  • The Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever

Revlon Stain

For more of a pop of colour I like to sweep on the Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever. These stains moisturise the lips with vitamin E and aloe, whilst giving your pout a rich stain that will last all day. Miami Fever is more on the orange side of red so it’s not a shade for the faint hearted, yet I find the glossy finish makes it perfect for a daytime lip.

  • The Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Rose

Revlon HD

For those who prefer a more traditional lipstick formula, the Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Rose is a beautiful choice for Spring. When I reviewed these on my blog I said that these were the lipstick that every woman will love and I still stand by that! These creamy, full colour lipsticks are formulated without wax to give a more gel texture to the colour as it glides across the lips. They last a good few hours on the lips and feel heavenly – I can see that Rose will be one of my go-to lip choices for many weeks to come.

  • The tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Exposed

Tarte

And lastly, if you’re after a beautiful Spring gloss then might I suggest the tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Exposed. This full colour gloss will plump the lips, last well and fade naturally without any stickiness throughout the day. I love this shade as its a pretty tawny rose that’s natural and pretty for Spring and many seasons to come.

What is going to be your Spring go-to lip? Will it be one of the products I’ve featured today? Let me know on the comments below!
