Are you the type of person who is always looking for the next adventure? What about taking that adventurous spirit out on the open water and taking part in exciting water sports or activity? If that sounds like something that would appeal to you, then you will want to check out these three unique water-based activities that are just calling your name.
Motorized Surfboards – A Whole New Way to Ride the Waves
Surfing is one of those sports that really challenges people and takes years to perfect. Well, now there is a new way to experience the sport that is a lot more intense and high-energy. JetsurfUS is looking to recreate the way people surf by offering ultra-lightweight motorized surfboards. Yes, you read that correctly, it is a surfboard with a motor. They are actually a hybrid of a motorsport and surfing, so you’re getting the best of both worlds.
This one is definitely meant for thrill seekers and isn’t for the faint of heart. What’s great is that you won’t need a wave to break or a boat to pull you out; the motor takes care of it for you. Now, because these are so lightweight they can also travel by car, commercial airliner, boat, and even in your hand. They feature an internal combustion engine so as not to bother the aquatic environment.
SNUBA Diving – Experience Life Under the Water
If you’re a fan of scuba diving and of snorkeling, then you will want to check out the new sport of SNUBA. This sport is perfect for those who aren’t interested in getting certified to scuba dive but still want to be able to check out underwater environments.
With SNUBA, you can dive as deep as 20 feet below the surface. You will be wearing a snorkel and a mask that has a hose attached to it. Oxygen is pumped through the hose right into your mask. The experience is similar to scuba diving, but you don’t have to carry around the air tank.
This one is so simple to learn that even kids as young as eight years of age are taking part in it, giving families a chance to explore marine life together.
Jetpack Flying – Soar Over the Water
When you think of a water sport, you usually think of time spent in the water. With jetpack flying you will start out in the water, then you will soar above its surface for a unique experience. This one is also classed as an extreme-sport, aiming the thrill seekers out there. The jet uses a water-powered propulsion system to lift you right out of the water. With a practice and a steady hand, you could find yourself as high as 30 feet above the surface.
People are now taking this sport further and performing all kinds of stunts and tricks while flying above the water.
So, if you’re looking for a new way to enjoy the water, these sports and activities are sure to fit the bill.
Sounds really cool! Will definitely try them out. It sounds really exciting. Anyways, I’m just wondering if you avail travel insurance?
Absolutely love water sports and this was a great read. We recently went scuba diving with deepbluedivecenter.com in Aqaba and it was absolutely spectacular!
In this list, I am a fan of Motorized Surfboards and I do this a lot, especially on weekends. One activity that I think should be there is Jet Ski, please add that as well.
