Tesco have just released a brand new weaning surveyand want to know about your weaning and feeding experiences with your children. As a thank you they are offering the chance to win a £50 Tesco voucher. The survey is quick and actually gets you thinking about what you have done / are doing and what you’re feeding your baby, as I weaned a while ago with Max but will be back weaning Chloe in only a few months time.
What is/are the age(s) of your little one(s)? – 2 years and under 6 months

– Searched online and asked friends.
What were the first weaning foods you and your baby tried? – Banana, baby rice, rusks
What method of weaning do/did you follow? – Spoon feeding – thought of baby led scares me somewhat What was your baby’s favourite weaning food?
– Fromage Frais / Baby Yoghurt
What was your biggest weaning challenge?
– The mess!
Is your little one now eating meals with the family? What’s their favourite? – Pasta and noodle based
What snacks do you give your little one in between meals? – Fruit or veg sticks and the occasional biscuit
Is your little one vegetarian or vegan or following any other specialist diet? – No, although I’m trying to limit how much gluten he has
Does your child have any food allergies/intolerances?
Have you encountered the dreaded ‘fussy eater’ stage yet?
– We’re bang in the middle of it – eek!
Tell us what food your little one point-blank refuses to eat, such as sprouts, avocado or mushrooms?
– Cooked pepper (although he’ll eat it raw??)
Is there anything you find hard to include in your child’s diet?
– Not particularly
Where do you feed your child?
– Own seat at the family table
How do you keep your baby or toddler entertained at mealtimes?
– Talking and asking questions
What ‘mess minimiser’ wouldn’t you be without?
– Catcher/pelican bib
It’s not all about food, you know! What does your little one drink during the day?
– No-added sugar squash, water and fruit juice
Where’s the strangest place you’ve fed your baby? One of the Tesco Loves Baby Club team fed their toddler halfway up Mount Vesuvius! Can you beat that?
– Nothing too crazy – on an aeroplane
What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you while feeding or weaning your baby? Baby rice in your hair at an important meeting? Spattering the people at the next table with mashed carrots?
– Can’t think of anything in particular but I’m sure he’s coughed it all over me before!
Are there any weird or wacky flavour combinations that have been a surprise hit with your tot? Marmite and banana? Fish fingers and custard? (Thanks, Doctor Who!)
– Just marmite in general. I’m in the ‘hate it’ camp but hubby is in the ‘love it’ camp and now Max loves it.
