I love aeroplane food. I think has mostly to do with the little boxes everything is. It is all neatly organised and there are little dividers for where each part fits – don’t ask, I think it must be an OCD thing!! But anyway, it is probably why I love my new YumBox.
I love how you make your lunch neat and divided and you can get creative with your meals – it certainly encourages healthy eating as you really need to think about what will go in it and what will fit. I prefer the version I have, the Panino with four compartments, over the classic with six compartments. I think the one with six is much better for kids and obviously each section is much smaller. I like this one as you can fit a larger salad or sandwich in the biggest compartment.
Ultimately though, I think my favourite thing about the YumBox is that it is leak proof. Now, it won’t hold an actual liquid like some water (don’t know why you’d put that in you lunchbox anyway but whatever), but wet foods like hummus, yoghurt and dips all work fine. The little section could also hold something like peanut butter or nutella to dip something like breadsticks in and the best bit, it won’t get all over everything else. I don’t know how I managed without this before haha I literally love it.
The YumBox is made from food-safe materials too and it is BPA-free and phthalates-free. It measures 22 x 15 x 5 cms so it is pretty compact really as far as lunch boxes go, plus that also means it is great for portion control.
The box costs £24.95 which you may think is a little steep, and I suppose for a lunchbox it is. But if you’re like me, you enjoy this kind of thing and you do want to eat healthy at work or for the kids at school, then I can’t recommend it enough – I really enjoy mine. One of my friends saw it and bought one. And then two of her colleagues saw hers and bought them – they’re getting very popular and I know why!

These look like fab boxes! I just think of kids packed lunches in them but your food looks more grown up and very yummy! x
Ohh this is so cool. I love it.

I just love the idea of a yumbox but it would be £125 for us to buy them for all of our family which is steep 🙁 Maybe one day though as like you say, I do think they are worth it.
These are so sweet, my daughter would love one 🙂
stopping by from #triedandtested 🙂
We adore our Yumbox, my daughter takes it to school and I am sure she puts it through its paces yet there are never any leaks. I might have to get myself one too, your lunch looks delicious lol. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
Thanks for hosting. They’re fab aren’t they!
